First Grade Forgery

Image
We have always said Reid is too smart for his own good. He just cracks us up with the things he says and does. Let me give you a little background. This year, Reid has a Reading Folder that he brings home every night. It is part of his homework to read the book that is enclosed each night and then Josh and I have to write down the title of the book he read then sign and date the reading log.

I pull out the log this evening to see what book he was to read and noticed that the title, my signature and the date had already been completed! I couldn't help but laugh and Josh noted proudly that it was Reid's first attempt at forging my name on school papers. I asked Reid about it and he said, "Yeah, I was just helping you out, I already read the book." Thanks, son.

Shout out to my Hubby!

Image
If you haven't noticed, it is football season. So in the Edgin house that means we live and breath football. This week has been no different as Josh announced the 7th grade game on Monday, he took his 8th grade team to battle Danville on Tuesday, we played Catholic tonight, we will travel to Fayetteville tomorrow to watch the high school team and then Saturday he will announce for the 7th grade game again and then of course cheer on our beloved Florida Gators to a victory over Tennessee. Everyone has their favorite season whether it be spring, summer, etc...but, at the Edgin house we love FOOTBALL SEASON!

Now, back to tonight's game - make this season's record 3-0! We beat Catholic 19-7 and I couldn't be prouder of the team and coaches. So, here is a shout out to my hubby - you are doing an amazing job.

2-0

My hubby chalked up win #2 tonight. It wasn't pretty, but it was a win. 12 - 0. Enough said.

Travis' Birthday

We headed up to NW Arkansas to celebrate our good friend, Travis' birthday on Saturday. His sweet wife, Shannon and I did some shopping while Travis and Josh played a round of golf. Then we ended the evening with a birthday dinner with Josh leading the restaurant in a round of Happy Birthday To You...that in itself was quite amusing. However, the only pictures we came home with were from the golf outing. As Josh, Travis and Lance (Travis' brother) came up to one of the tee boxes this is what they found...

These pictures are from Josh's phone, but you can guarantee he was no where even close. Travis took the pictures while Lance handled the snake and Josh stood as far away as he could.

1-0

Josh had his first game of the season tonight and you guessed it...he won! I am so proud of him and the boys. They really played hard and despite a few minor mistakes, they played their little hearts out. It is always nice to start the season off with a win.

Also, if you have a chance check out yesterday's Courier. In the Sports section, there is an article about Josh and his team this year. Ahh...I am just beaming with pride.

Congratulations, Hubby! We love you!
