Proud

Image
So very proud of my hubby. He won his THIRD conference title and did so while being such an amazingly positive influence on each and every young man on that team. I absolutely adore watching him coach and teach these boys how to be a team.

Image Congrats, my love! Your two #1 fans love you!

Halloween 2011

This year Reid was adamant that he wanted to be Captain Rex from Star Wars for Halloween. However, lately he has been obsessed with wolves. He reads about them, watches documentaries about them, talks about them and soaks in every detail about them. He had mentioned a couple of times that he would like to also be a werewolf for Halloween. Josh and I both put our foot down because he already had a costume...one that he had to have. But, then he racked up 3 awards at the 1st 9 weeks awards assembly...character, academic and the reading award. So, we (read: I, his domino of a mom) gave in and let him get a wolf costume too. Long story short, we had not 1 but 2 costumes for this Halloween and I gotta say, he rocked them both.

Image Captain Rex...pistols and all.

Image He can pose with the best of 'em...

Image This is why our Wild Man got the werewolf costume. He is rockin' the 3rd grade!

Image And the ever so sought after werewolf. Scared, aren't you?

Image It was so much fun watching the excitement they all shared racing to each door.

Image Best friends...luckily, Tag and his sister, Dru were able to meet up with us and do some trick or treating as well.

Happy Halloween!

In the blink of an eye...

Where has the time gone? It has been over a month since I blogged and time has flown by. I will try to catch up with what has been going on. We have had a whilrwind of a first semester. Most of our time has been spent with football - either Josh's team or Reid's team. I have thoroughly enjoyed watching all this football! It really doesn't get any better.

Image My man...he makes me so proud!

Image Mimi and Papi came down for a visit.

Image Luckily, they were able to plan their trip around one of Josh's games.

Image We spent a couple of weekends watching my dad dragrace. Unfortunately, he won't be racing for a while due to rotator cuff surgery. He starts physical therapy on Monday and will be off of work until atleast January.

Image We also went to Reid's school's Fall Fest with Kade and Kara.

And last but not least Josh won his Conference Title for the 3rd year in a row! Yes, that's right, he is that awesome. We are so proud of him and the boys he has coached this year.

This week brings another busy one. I promise to post Halloween pics in a more timely manner. Hopefully, I will stay caught up now...or atleast I will try.

Football, Fun and Friends

This was the first week of conference play for Josh and the first game for Reid. Josh brought home a win (yeah!) and is already preparing for next Thursday which could be a tough one. Reid had two practices this week and then his flag football season began with a Jamboree on Saturday. Then we headed over to the Robinson's for some food and you guessed it...more football!

Off to prepare for next week. Reid has his first real game on Monday, Josh has an away game Thursday that is going to be a tough one and then our Gators take on 'Bama on Saturday! Love this time of year!

Football

It is finally here...football season! Josh's team is off to a great start with a win on Thursday night. Josh has decided to coach Reid's flag football team this year as well and their first practice is Tuesday night. Reid is beyond excited and you know I am already ordering t-shirts to wear to the games. Patience is a virtue and Josh is going to need a lot of it with a team full of 7-8 year olds! But, I must say, there will be nothing better than seeing my two guys on the football field together. Oh, how sweet it will be!

Image I adore seeing this man on the field at work.

Catch Up

The summer has flown by and I slacked on blogging for a few weeks. So, I will attempt to catch everyone up on what all has happened in our little world...

Reid attended the Cyclone Football Camp again this year. He walked away with 4 awards and was pumped. I can't wait to see this little guy play flag football again in the fall, plus Josh is going to coach so it should be a very interesting season!

Josh and I snuck away for a weekend to Omaha to watch our beloved Florida Gators in the final round of the College World Series. Sadly, they choked, but enough about that. We had a great time and are still proud of our Gators!

Image

Image I always have a wonderful time with this hottie!

Image

Image We took these two cuties to a Travelers' game in Little Rock. The new stadium is so nice, but so different that good ol' Ray Winder.

Image Can't go to a Travelers' game without a picture with the mascot, Shelly.

Two more weeks and back to the school grind. Reid reminded us of the bright side to school starting again...RECESS! If only they had that for adults too...

Vacation 2011

Vacation 2011...so much fun and so many memories. I could write a book about all the fun times we had in Wyoming and Colorado; however, I will give you a story of pictures instead. Enjoy our trip...we sure did!

We started off in Wyoming with a family reunion on Josh's paternal grandmother's side. Image Reid and Josh's Aunt Judy

Image We did some river fishing with Grandpa Chuck (Josh's Dad)

Image Our fishing spot...Green River.

Image We visited the local Rec Center a few times where they have an A-M-A-Z-I-N-G indoor pool area.

Image I kept running into these two studs at the pool. Cousin Cody and Reid-man

Image Yep, they even had an indoor rock wall in the pool...awesome, right?

Image Next, we spent a day on the boat with Mimi, Papi and Erin!

Image Papi and Reid reeling in their fish.

Image Family pictures...a tradition every time we make it home to Wyoming.

Image My favorite pic of the day! Such handsome 'fellas!

After we left Wyoming, we decided to take our time driving back to Arkansas. We stopped in Denver, CO and soaked up some more of the cool weather which was bliss. We stayed at the Omni Interlocken Resort and definately plan to make a return trip there. Image

Image The pool area...which was open 24 hours!

While in Denver, we took Reid to Mid-Air Adventures, which also I higly recommend. Pure fun! Image Reid didn't want to leave this place...can you blame him? Where was this when we were kids?! (Sorry for the poor quality pictures. It is kind of hard to capture him mid-flight!)

Image

We also hit up, Buca de Beppo, while we were in Denver and yes, it is a MUST as well. The best fettucini alfredo I have ever had - hands down! Denver was an all around great stop for us and can't wait to go back.

The last leg of our trip was a stop in Salina, Kansas. Not your typical vacation destination, but it was a good mid point between Denver and home. We visited the Kenwood Cove Water Park and honestly, it was another great find. Cheap, safe, fun...sign us up!

We are back to the real world now and we hit the ground running when we returned with my new job duties, summer football practice and entertaining our wild man. Vacation 2011 in the books and now the Edgin household is ready for FOOTBALL!
