Let summer begin...

Today is the last day of the summer school session I am teaching and I am so. very. relieved. The kids were great, but my summer hasn't started yet considering we started summer school the Monday after school ended and it ran for the last three weeks from 8am - 4:30 pm. The days were long and tiring, but the end is here!

On a separate note, our Gators are doing great in the College World Series and we are contemplating a whirlwind trip up to Omaha if they make it to the championships. Go Gators! Also, I am starting to get settled into my new office which is exciting. They are painting it on Monday and then I get to pick out new furnishings for it. Yeah!

I'll end with a picture of two cuties. We took Reid and his best buddy, Tag, to watch a Travelers game last week. It was massively hot, but oh so much fun! Image

New toys...

Josh surprised me Tuesday with an early graduation present...Image A Nikon D3100! I was so excited, but now I just have to figure out how to use it. That boy really does spoil me!

Speaking of Josh, he got a new set of wheels this week too. A 2011 GMC Sierra Z71. He looked for quite some time to find the perfect one and this was it...Image I will get a "real" picture of it soon as I figure out how to actually work my new camera...

8

June 11th our baby will be 8. Wow. Still not sure where the time has gone...but it has flown. Reid is turning into such a young man and we couldn't be prouder of him. He owns our hearts that is for sure.

Image The Birthday Boy

We decided to go ahead and have his party a week early because we know most people start to head out of town on vacation next week. Bowling and mini-golf was the party of choice this year for his birthday.

Image Let's bowl!

Image The cake pop party favors. Gotta give a shout out to Kara for being the brain behind these. They wouldn't have been near this cute without her help!

Also, a huge THANK YOU for my mom helping me corral all the kids at the party and not to mention preparing the party room and cleaning it up. She's pretty much the best mom a girl could have. Josh was fabulous helping all the kids while they bowled as well...he definitely deserves a day of golf after that.

So, another party in the books...now we have the rest of the summer to relax and enjoy time with our 8 year old! :)

Sick Day

Reid got to end his school year a little early. He had been complaining of fatigue for the past couple of days and when he slept in until 9:30 on Sunday morning, we knew something was not right. If you know our boy, he is a consistent 7am riser. So after a trip to the doctor, we learned our little man had bronchitis. So, yesterday Reid and I took a sick day and made the most of it. Of course, the majority of the day we either watched Star Wars, played Star Wars or acted out Star Wars. I mean, he can even quote the majority of the lines in the movies. The boy is just a tad obsessed with it, can you tell?

Image Y'all have Star Wars figures hanging from your blinds too, right?!

If Reid wasn't quoting, watching or playing Star Wars then he was doing this...Image The bronchitis really did wear the little guy out. Luckily, he is feeling much better which is a good thing because our Wild Man has his birthday party on Saturday! So hard to believe he will be 8. 18 will be here in the blink of an eye....
