A Variety of Recently Finished Commissions

Here's more stuff from a couple of different orders we've recently done. First up are some 40mm Napoleonic Austrian cavalry. These are still on the painting sticks since the customer wanted to do his own basing:

28mm WWII German Infantry

These 28mm WWII Germans are another commission we recently completed. They are shown still on their painting sticks since the customer was going to do his own basing. The figures are Battle Honors. First up are some Heer HMG teams and some riflemen:

There were also some ATG crew and an ATG. The crew were kitted out in the hoodless SS smock so I painted them up in the spring variety of the Oak Leaf pattern:

Here's the ATG. It was sprayed with an airbrush with Tamiya colors:

28mm Napoleonic French

Well Fall In is over and I now have a moment to try and update the blog. The shows are always a busy time as we try and cram as many deliveries into a 2-3 day period plus try and offer a few new items for sale from the display table. We don't always succeed at the latter. The hectic schedule means we often do not have the time to update the blog or website, and often we do not have the time to take a few pics of things we recently completed. I did set aside a little time and took a few pics of things which will appear here over the next few days. The rushed schedule, however, means there are not as many pics of the items as usual so you may see some posts with an odd collection of items.

This post will focus on some 28mm  Napoleonic French. This batch included some line from about 1812-ish and some artillery from earlier in the Napoleonic Wars.

Here's the French Line. These are figures are from Foundry and the flag is from The Flag Dude:

After painting loads of Napoleonics in 15mm it was refreshing to paint these 28's!

15mm SYW British Army

I love when Sam Mustafa comes out with new rules. It always results in more work coming our way. His rule set Maurice, a set of rules for fighting battles of the Seven Years Wars, is no exception.

A customer sent us a commission of a 15mm British SYW army. The army loosely represents the British Army in Germany at the Battle on Minden, August 1, 1759.  It contains a mix of British, Hessian, Brunswick, and Hanoverian units.

All figures are made by Old Glory 15's and the flags are from The Flag Dude. Astute scholars of the Seven Years Wars will notice that some figures may not have the exact correct uniform for the exact date. We worked with what we had to complete the order and in 15mm , at normal gaming distance of 2-3 feet plus, it shouldn't be a problem.

I had to do the horse furniture borders somewhat abstract. The Hanover cavalry have pretty complex borders that in 15mm are very difficult to paint on and still have them look decent (unless one devotes tons of time to them). So I simplified them somewhat and to fool the eye into thinking it sees the pattern.
