At Exhale Pro-Voice, we believe that emotional wellbeing after an abortion includes access to a network of thoughtful, values-aligned support. Our free, national textline offers nonjudgmental, peer-based emotional support to people who have had abortions, as well as their allies.
Referring people to resources beyond our services is a key part of how we extend our mission. We’ve carefully reviewed and selected the recommendations below to help meet the wide range of emotional, spiritual, and practical needs people may experience after abortion.

After-Abortion Counseling & Emotional Support
We use the following criteria to guide our recommendations:
- Does the service respect the full range of emotions after an abortion?
- Does the service empower individuals to define wellbeing for themselves?
- Does the service address specific needs we’ve heard from our textline community?
We only include services that meet all three criteria. If a provider uses a one-size-fits-all model or doesn’t align with our approach, they are not listed.
