Bring humanity’s downfall in this doomsday simulation
Extinction Day, developed and published by DryGin Studios for PC, is a doomsday simulation where players assume the role of an omnipresent force. The goal is to wipe out humanity using a range of apocalyptic scenarios that offer unique methods of mass destruction.
End humanity
From unleashing devastating storms to triggering deadly outbreaks and asteroid collisions, Extinction Day offers players numerous ways to bring about humanity’s end. This strategy title simulates more than 80,000 humans on the 3D Earth model and utilizes real-world data for a life-like simulation.
The game offers two contrasting modes: a story-driven campaign where you encounter different scenarios and make tactical decisions to end humanity, and a sandbox mode where you have complete destructive freedom to do anything. However, almost every single piece of art used for the loading screen is AI-generated.
Mass destruction
Extinction Day delivers an intriguing blend of strategy and destruction, letting players end the world in creative, data-driven ways. Its large-scale simulation and dual modes offer replayability. However, the heavy reliance on AI-generated art, especially in key visual elements, can detract from its impact.
