Calvin graduates Kindergarten!

Wow!  Life is so crazy that I haven't posted in quite a few months, but this is all I have to show over the last couple of months.  At the beginning of June Calvin graduated from kindergarten and his class put on a cute little program.  I have loved his teacher Mrs. Stanford and the patience she has given to Calvin.  It has been a learning year not only for Calvin but also for me as a mother, there is a lot I didn't know about kindergarten.

We LOVE the support of grandma and grandpa....they are always there for these special moments!

Again, Mason was thrilled to be there.

Calvin with his teacher Mrs. Stanford. The morning of the program, Calvin told me that he wanted to look nice, so he should wear one of his shirts that has the stripes and the collar cause he looks good in it.  Plus, he was insistant on having his hair spiked, he is a silly boy.  Everyone always talks about having a hard time sending your kid to kindergarten, I say no.  I am somewhat dreading next year when Calvin is gone ALL day long, but thrilled to have him enter 1st grade!

Happy Birthday Calvin!

Image
Also, this tent was my brothers when they were kids.  My boys found it and had to take turns putting it on there beds and sleeping in it, they loved it!
Image
Building up to Calvin's birthday, this was how my house looked for about 2 weeks.  Sick, sick, sick.....we finally got it out of the house just in time to celebrate!

 Happy Birthday Calvin!!!
Calvin turned 6 on April 20th, and for his birthday we told him he could choose one friend to take to Lagoon that day (since our family got passes this year).  Before we got to that part of the day, we let him open up his gifts from mom and dad that morning.

Image
He was so excited to get a movie, sticker book, running shoes, lego set and a new bike!
Image
Calvin chose his friend Porter to come along for the day, and we had the best time at Lagoon.  Sadly, I only took the one picture of them with there prizes they won playing a game.  The best part, is that it rained on and off all morning and then we went to have lunch it poured buckets of rain, and even hailed.  On a plus note, because of the rain there was nobody there and also after the down pour it cleared up and the sun came out.  It ended up being a great day!
Image
After Lagoon we had the family over for hamburgers and hot dogs with chips and pasta salad, and then cake and ice cream.  There were so many kids and because the weather got warm they played outside and enjoyed the evening!

Calvin got a ton of Lego's for his birthday, he was so excited.  It is amazing to me how good he is with following the instructions and putting them together.  I have one little smart cookie on my hands! :)

He wanted a Star Wars cake, so I did my best to make it just that.

The party continues the next day at my parents house.  We went over for Sunday dinner to celebrate Marci and Calvin's birthdays.

It was such a nice weekend that again we spent the time outside throwing around the baseball and playing on the swing set.

Even Alyssa was doing so fancy swinging?!?!? hahahha

 Love my sweet niece Dori.

Image
 Love my family!
Image
I went to take this picture and mom said, "wait let me take off my apron."  I told her, no I love it....and I really do.  Don't I have the prettiest mom?
Image
He got such fun things from everyone.  Again more Lego sets from the aunts and uncles, and then a swimming pool and suit from grandma and grandpa.  He is one lucky boy!

He was even lucky enough to get 2 cakes!  I tell you what, I love this kid so much and am so proud of him and what he has accomplished this last year in school and in being him.  It is amazing to watch your sweet little infants grow up into these boys and soon men.  What an awesome responsibility I have as a mom!
Happy 6th Birthday Calvin!

Easter

My camera has been giving me huge issues these last few months, despite that I got it for Christmas.  Anyway, here is our fun filled Easter weekend with the kids.

We went to an Easter egg hunt up at Fruit Heights City first thing in the morning and the kids had a ball.  After that just down the street the Presbyterian church was also having one and invited all of us over to enjoy.  It was interesting to be in another church and to still feel the love of Christ in the room, that those people felt and believed.

The best part of Christmas, my mom received from us kids some Christmas China that she had as a kid growing up.  It was a wonderful experience watching her open them and touch all of our hearts for many Christmases to come!

and then the tears came, she was so touched......awesome!
