Welcome to Fourth Grade

I am so excited to welcome you to an exciting year in fourth grade. Take a look around our classroom and be prepared to have fun while learning. I have taught at Willow Canyon for 17 years and have been in fourth grade 6 years. I look forward to meeting each one of you and learning more about each of you.

Snowshoeing at the Spruces

The weather was a bit iffy, but we bundled up and headed up the canyon. It ended up being a great day, and not TOO cold. The kids enjoyed learning some great things about the mountain/forest habitat, while learning to snowshoe. I couldn't have done it without my four wonderful parent volunteers. Some of those kids could have stayed forever having fun in the snow. It was a great day.

Valentine's Day Party

We had a great Valentine's Day. Played a fun game, opened our LOVE NOTES and enjoyed some healthy eating. Love all my fourth graders!

Visits from The Living Planet Aquarium and Museum of Natural History

We were so fortunate to have two special presentations about rocks and the water cycle. Both presentations gave the kids a hands-on experience of two of our science curriculums. They were amazing and the kids learned so much.

Making Fossils

We concluded our fossil unit by making fossils. It was a dirty job, but someone had to do it.
