Sip and Strokes

I went Saturday night to Sip and Strokes with my Sister-in-Law and a few friends. We had a blast and I realized that I really am not artistic AT ALL. Thank goodness I had wine or it would have been a lot more stressful.

Snow 3/1/09

Here are a few pictures that I took on Sunday March 1st around our neighborhood. The snow was beautiful and I just wish it would have lasted longer. Mike and I had fun riding around and looking at the scenery.

UPDATE ON THE DOCTOR

Mike and I went to the infertility doctor, we went on the Jan 26th. We were not sure what to expect but all went well. Our Dr. is going to start us (or me) on injectables, we have a few months before we start them so it will likely be April before we can even start trying again. It seems in one of the test that they ran I am not immune to the chicken pox, and from what I understand chicken pox and pregnancy is not a good combo (for me or for a unborn child). I am having to have a 2 part vaccine and you have to wait a month in between both shots, so I went the first week in February and got the first shot and will go back on March 6th for the second dose. Then we have to wait another month before it is safe to try again. I am actually looking forward to this next step, I just wish we did not have to wait, but I am learning patience. I want to do what is going to be best for me and for hopefully a baby. Thanks for all the prayers, but our journey is not over so please keep them coming.

BIRTHDAYS

We had 2 birthdays this month, my nephew Griffin and also my birthday. Griffins birthday was the first and mine was the 12th. I will add some pictures from Griffins party and also a picture of the beautiful flowers my husband sent me! I was so excited that he sent me flowers and they are MY absolute favorite (Calla Lily's). I had a wonderful birthday and feel like we have celebrated all week, Sunday we went to my Mom's and celebrated with my family. My husband took me to dinner last night, and we will have a party with Mike's family this Sunday. So much for the diet this week!

SMITH FAMILY CHRISTMAS\ MY FATHER IN LAWS BIRTHDAY

I guess it is better late than never, we had my Grandmothers side of the family's Christmas party in January. So here are the only pictures that I took that day. After the Christmas party I had to go to my In Laws to celebrate my Father in laws 75th Birthday so I will add a few of those pictures also. I went home early from the party that night not feeling well and ended up having pneumonia. Nothing like missing 4 days of work unplanned in January, but all better now, just playing catch up with everything.

Prayers

I just thought I would let anyone that wants to know and wants to pray for Mike and I, we will be going to a fertility doctor on the 26th of January. Her name is Dr Honea and she started the ART program in Birmingham (ART Assisted Reproductive Technology). We have already done 4 rounds of clomid that my obgyn prescribed and he has already done 2 surgery's, so he does not know what we need to do to make the dream of having a baby come true for us. I am very nervous about this appointment because so far insurance has covered all the infertility treatment we have done, but we are not sure when we take this next step how much of it if any that insurance will cover. (Mike and I both work in the automotive field and with the economy as crappy as it is extra money is not falling off trees) I am just not ready for my dream of being a Mom to be over with. So if you will can you pray for Mike and I in the next few weeks, pray for peace for me as I am having a hard time coping. Thanks I will try and update after our appointment.

So glad that Christmas and New year are Over !!!!!

We had a wonderful Christmas, by Christmas day we were finished with all the festivities. So Christmas day was a wonderful day of just me and the hubby spending time together, we did not plan very well because I had not been grocery shopping and we had nothing in the house, so we had HUNT and I mean hunt for someplace to eat. We ended up at IHOP and joked that this would be our new Christmas tradition.

We rang in the New Year at home with a few Friends. You can tell we are getting old since Bell Bottoms was not even brought up this year. (for as long as Mike and I have been together we have gotten a Hotel in downtown and gone to Bell Bottoms for New Years). I am glad both are over with this year, and I am hoping that we have a good 09, I keep telling Mike that the economy has got to get better "can it get any worse". Hope everyone has a wonderful 2009. I plan to make this year count....
