My birthday Benjamin August 12, 2010

Filed under: boys — fawnjenee @ 8:33 am

July was one crazy busy month, but the crowning event was celebrating Ben’s 4th birthday.  I can’t believe that he is so big already, seriously, when did that happen?   Right now he is the king of indecision, Mom I want a vanilla Spiderman cake, mom I want a chocolate dolphin cake, Mom I want a vanilla star cake.

ImageWe noticed this expression on his face in the majority of the pictures from our Yellowstone trip.   He said it was because he didn’t know how to smile, he hasn’t learned that yet.  I t keeps popping up in our pictures.

ImageProof he can smile.  He is a real joy.  He just ran up and saw his cake on the screen and exclaimed hey my birthday cake!  Thanks for making my birthday cake for me, Mama.

ImageWe went to a showing of The Last Airbender on his birthday, then had a family party with Gramma Barbara and Grampa Frank and Grammie Julie the next day.  We found Owen a new bike with a contribution from the Rueckerts (our first KSL purchase) and Ben was excited to inherit his cool red big boy bike.  He also received some other fun toys and clothes from Grammie and us, along with some monetary gifts that he was very excited about.

We headed to Frank and Barbara’s backyard last sunday to deliever some tapioca pudding, home made I might add, all Dave too.  We decided to take advantage of their backyard and the relatively nice weather to take a few pictures of the boys.  Here are some of my favorites.

My Birthday Boys March 30, 2010

Filed under: boys — fawnjenee @ 9:47 pm

Hi folks, been a while hasn’t it.  All my little one have had birthdays since my last post (last year).   So why not follow one catch up post with another, right!?

BEN-  We went to the zoo, ate burritos, and had a rocket ship birthday cake.

JONATHAN-  To celebrate his first birthday, we all came down with the swine flu.  I honestly don’t remember much and I probably should be thankful for that.

ImageImage

OWEN- We had his best friend across the street over and Dave’s “cousin” and her family over for dinner and cake and ice cream.   He wanted an Astroboy cake and the computer had crashed, so I had no picture to work off of.  So the poor kid got a fire monster cake (Astroboy was supposed to be blasting off the top).   He handled like a champ though.

Ben vs. the Bed May 9, 2009

Filed under: Uncategorized — fawnjenee @ 8:55 am

Last night was fun, let me tell you about it.  First of all, David had to do a deployment for work from home.   So I took the boys over to his parents for a little yard work for awhile, came home, bathed the filthy boys, read them their nightly stories, called Dave up for prayer, watched some wrestling, prayed, left the room, heard Dave say repeatedly “No more jumping!”, heard crying, saw gaping head wound, looked for big bandages and insurance cards, sent child with head wound to ER with Daddy,  killed spider so other child would go to bed, waited, worried.

Finally, a little after 1am David brought a nicely stitched up Benjamin home,  hyped up from the red popcicle they had bribed him with.  He was wide awake and quite the little chatter box.  His inch long gash require one inner stitch (it went all the way to his skull) and five on the outside.  We finally got him  to stop talking and go to sleep around 2am.

I should mention that Dave still had work to do when he got home from the ER and then got up early this morning to go clean the church, after which he went and helped weed his parents garden.  He is a gem.

My littlest Boy March 9, 2009

My baby is now 4 and a half monthes old.  He is such a dear sweet baby.  At his most recent check up, he weighed 15.7lbs (65%) and ws 25.5inches (70%) long.  He loves to coo and the louder the better.  His brothers continue to dote upon him.  They were pushing him around in the Lego bucket the other day and then built him his own special fort, a great honor in “brother land”.  Just to prove that I am completely shameless when speaking of my children I’ll mention the fact that my Dr. thought that Jonathan was such a good looking baby, that he could be on the cover of a baby magazine.
