2016 NBA Finals

I don’t remember when was the last time I actually sat and watched the entire NBA game. FH is quite a regular as he was watching the Eastern Conference matches and Western Conference matches leading to the finals … sometimes I might took a peek at Jeremy Lin’s play but that was it. Too much to do for a mom, I said. I had no time and mood for NBAs.

Go Warriors!

But things changed when Ryan told me that he heard of Steph Curry from his friends the other day. And right before he said that, I had just learned about this MVP and how they won the Western conference from a 3-1 deficit. In an effort to help create more conversational ideas for Ryan, we started watching the NBA finals and the entire family was rooting for Golden State Warriors! The boys enjoyed learning the names of the players, how to read the scoring, home court or not, a little bit of the rules … Due to their bedtime they usually could not finish the whole match so when they wake up the next morning, the conversation continued revolving about the game from previous night. I really like this kind of feeling, the feeling of bonding the entire family together with same interests and be passionate about it. We had thoroughly enjoyed the NBA Finals despite GSW’s lost. But LeBron James deserved the win and we are cool with that.
