Are they still called pig tails if they're more like little round poof balls? Anyway, we finally got her hair in some the other day. It's not easy, but just because Capri hates it when I mess with her head, so she thrashes and throws her head around. I can't do it by myself, Kenny has to be home to hold her down so I can hurry and throw her hair up and wrap it in rubber bands.Thursday, April 21, 2011

see how our garden grows
The Garden. Every year we have one. This is the third year, and we are hoping this will be a more prosperous year for our garden. The first year, we were overly ambitious. We planted ALL this stuff, and the only thing that we "harvested" were radishes and a little cilantro. And like three tomatoes. The second year, we simplified, and planted a "salsa" garden. We planted tomatoes, onions and peppers. We did get a few tomatoes, and like two peppers, but that was it. Dud. This year, we are optimistic. We've got tomatoes (gotta have tomatoes), romaine lettuce, and broccoli in the big box, and strawberries in the little ceramic pot. So far, things are looking great. We'll see how it goes when it starts to get really hot.Tuesday, April 5, 2011

playing outside
These pictures are not very good, because the sun was out in full force when I took them. It was noon. But, my baby is cute and it needs to be documented.
She doesn't really care for the bunny. (By the way, there is only one now. Sharp Tooth died of a nasty eyeball infection.) Bruce is doing great. Capri, however, doesn't care. She doesn't really mind him, until he gets in her field of vision, and she gets annoyed. He gets close enough, she starts flailing her arms about trying to get him to go away, Once, he got close and she grabbed hold of both of the bunny's ears, picked him up and moved him away.
She also doesn't care for grass. She loves to be outside, but on someone's lap, or on a blanket. If she gets set down on the grass, she'll usually just scream and throw a fit. If she's in a good mood when she gets set down in grass, she just grunts and you, and sits precariously trying to hold as much skin as she can off the ground, out of reach of those nasty blades of green stuff.
