New York City (day 1)

I was invited to join my mom and sister for a girls trip (plus my dad) to New York,
and how could I resist that? I could not. We flew overnight and got to New York City
at 6am, checked into the hotel and slept for a couple of hours and then headed out to see stuff.

It was like nothing I have ever seen before, and nothing I could ever imagine.
I thought I've seen big cities before, but I was wrong. It was overwhelming and
amazing and kind of scary. If Kimbrey hadn't been there to navigate the subway
system, we would have gotten lost on the first day.

First thing we went to 5th Avenue to walk around, we walked to the Empire State building and
back to Rockefeller plaza, where we went to the Top of the Rock to see the city from up high.

On one side we could see Central Park

And from the other side we got a view of the Empire State building and in the
very far off distance we could see the Statue of Liberty.

After that we had booked a boat tour which took us out to the Statue of Liberty and
around to see the sights from the water.

The city skyline was amazing from every direction it seemed like.

My beautiful sister :)

My favorite part of New York city was seeing Lady Liberty.
I've always wished I could see it just once in person, and now I have.
So beautiful.

Lots and lots of cool bridges, it's been too long and I can't remember which is which.

I loved seeing the big Pepsi Cola sign!

Then we headed to Times Square which was cooler than I thought it would be.

We were so tired by the end of the first day!

zip line

The Saturday after Thanksgiving my parents treated all those who were big enough
and wanted to, to a day on the Moab zip line.

Aiden's been wanting to do it for a while now, and was super excited
about it when the time finally came.

They got us all outfitted in our gear, and then loaded us all up in two razors
and took us way up onto the slickrock trail.
And turned us loose on the zip line! (well, kind of)
We had so much fun!

Aiden had so much fun. It was really windy which made it a little colder than
we had originally thought it would be, so he whined some about that, and about the fact
that one the last couple of lines he had to ride tandem because it was too windy
for him to ride alone. But mostly he had fun and spent a lot of time grinning.

When we got to the very first zip line (there are six total) they asked who wanted to
be first, and without hesitation, Aiden jumped and yelled "I do!" and
He ran and jumped without looking back. He is so so brave.

Cozzens Camp (day 2)

Flag ceremony

Day 2 was super hero day, and the first activity of the day involved
throwing water balloons at pictures of villians that had been placed around the "woods"
on various trees.

Next, each kid picked a super hero, and we painted their faces (the best we could)
to look like their super hero.

Capri wasn't thrilled with getting her face painted, but I was sure as soon as
she saw her face painted like Hello Kitty, she would change her mind.

Image

I was wrong. She hated every minute her face was painted.
We bribed her with a cookie long enough to take pictures, then washed it off.
And she was happy again.

Chase didn't want his face painted. He was cool enough without it.

Then we went fishing again!
