Fuchs Wheels

Some real nice Fuchs wheel where delivered yesterday. I always loved the looks of these wheels...so with the 912 coming I had a reason to buy some of these 'real deal rims'!

Porsche

As the Deluxe bus got sold I was on the hunt for another project. VW beetles are great, already had a T2, and then I started dreaming of Karmann Ghia Lowlights and Porsches... One day I was at a classic car shop where they had the Karmann and the Porsche side by side. I fell in love with the Porsche... Inspired by people like Magnus Walker I started searching for a Porsche 911 or 912.

Finally I found a great looking Porsche 912 which triggered me with it's flawless design, interesting flat4 engine and superb driving. Right now it's getting shipped from the States to the Netherlands... In the meanwhile I'm on the hunt for nice parts to fit the 912...

An idea on how I like a Porsche 912...

Deluxe Bed

Fixed a bed in the Deluxe bus today. I wanted to keep the stock look with seats and the walkthrough, but I also wanted to sleep in the bus... First put the 2/3 seat to the side...then I took a piece of wood, put a hinge in the middle so it can be folded in two to fit on the rear luggagefloor when driving. I made the wooden plank to fit between the walkthrough and the full rear seat and with the use of two Ikea boxes (ideal for storage) and a kids matras, the bed is ready...

Powerplant

We mounted the new powerplant into the Deluxe yesterday. Drives like a dream. Sounds great with the CSP muffler!

Engine Update

Ever seen a 2012 Megane GT with an aircooled engine in the back? Me neither and it looks crap!

It's time to get this great running 1600 single port into the Deluxe bus. This engine was in a former Ziegler firepump-something. It did about 6000km converting hours into km's... the PO converted the engine suitable for a car. He also gave me the original VW waranty papers and id-plate which are a fun proof of history. I'm going to mount the original splitbus aircleaner and a CSP muffler on it.

Got a Title Today

Yeeehaaaaw! First 'big' ride today to get the official RDW check. Everything's fine, all checks were O.K.!

Lights, foglights

Fixed the Foglight wiring today. Put in an relay, a pretty 'hidden' switch ( keeping the stock look alive) and some wiring. Works nice.

Wax On Wax Off

Just couldn't resist giving the paint on the Deluxe bus a little 'wake-up' polish. The white paint get's shiny, SeeBlau is getting a 'deeper' colour and a bit more shiny. Haven't done the whole bus yet...
