Happy Easter 2013

We have had a fun weekend celebrating Easter.. We started last Thursday night with a neighborhood flashlight egg hunt, then another neighborhood egg hunt Saturday morning, and after that we headed up to Kaysville for a city egg hunt they put on. Saturday evening Madi reminded us we had not dyed Easter eggs yet so we did that before bed. The Easter Bunny payed us a visit while we slept on Saturday night too!! We woke up, got ready for church and then the kids found all the treats the Bunny left!! We enjoyed our church services. Gary and I got to sub a class in primary, we live being in the primary. After church we relaxed for awhile and then at 4:00 Eric, Ginger, Cody, Grandparents, and Great Grandma Anderson came for dinner. We had a yummy dinner and later in the evening we went on a bike ride around our neighborhood. This coming week will be great too, Madi is out for Spring Break!! It will be fun!!!

Gary's Work Partner

Jackson has been bugging Gary to take him to work with him for awhile now... Gary found a day that wasn't very busy at work and took him for the morning. Jackson was so excited! A couple days before he went he talked about it. The night before he made sure we knew what time to wake him up so he would be ready in time. I emailed Gary some links to print off some letter tracing worksheets he could do while he was there. Jackson called it "his work".. Jackson had a great time with his dad at work.. When Madi found out Jackson got to go with Gary to work she got jealous.. Now Madi gets to go next week during Spring Break. Stay tuned!

Building A Home For The Wood Ducks!

Gary has decided that he wants to provide a nesting box for the wood ducks that frequent our backyard.. A friend of ours, Matt Edgington, gave us some cedar scraps so Gary and Jackson made one today. Gary's friend, Justin Crump, and his son, Ben, came over to help. They had fun making it and I'm sure will build more in the coming weeks.. Good job guys!!

Got a Ticket to Ride!!

This morning I decided I wanted to go into City Creek to get a new cover for my phone at ZAGG. I had never been on frontrunner so I put Abi down for a nap and Jackson and I took off for the train station. When we got there we had just missed the train and had to wait another hour. We drove up to Mr. Macs to get Gary a new shirt and tie. When we were done there Jackson wanted to head straight back to the train station. He didn't want to miss the train. Jackson was so excited to go on his first "passenger train", though he was worried it would "go too fast like a bullet train". After we started moving Jackson approved with the speed the train was going.. We got off the train and jumped onto Trax to get us the rest of the way to City Creek. The first thing we did was go fix my phone, then went to H&M, then Deseret Book to get a gift for Jackson's preschool teacher. Her husband passed away so we wanted to get her something. After we agreed on a gift we walked over to Blue Lemmon and Jackson wanted some hot chocolate. It was so good, he chugged that stuff down fast, thanks to the perfect temperature of the hot chocolate :) .. We made our way back to the Trax station and then headed to the frontrunner station. We barely caught the train, but we still managed to find a seat upstairs in the train. Jackson likes to ride upstairs. Jackson, I love you buddy! Thanks for taking me on the train today with you, I had so much fun with you! Love you bud!!

Jackson's Field Trip To Salt Lake City!

Jackson's last field trip with Mrs. Eggett was to the Church office building in Salt Lake. Gary went with him and Jackson was so excited to ride the bus into Salt Lake. Gary got some fun pictures, but I especially love the one of Jack and Mason. They became such good friends while we lived in Bountiful. It was fun to get reacquainted with Mason's mom, Kim, too. We went to high school together. We will miss you sweet Mason!
