This week has been a REALLy busy week and it is only TUESDAY!! (given I am counting the week END)...Butt first...Jett went into the Dr, our friend Dave...doesn't he look like he should be doing and EVIL GENIUS laugh...ah ha ha ha! jk anyway...he took off three of Jett's moles on his face. We were all a little nervouse butt Jett was a trouper and didn't hardly wince while Dave was shooting his face full of the deadening stuff...it REALLY looked like it hurt.

Here they are doing the "operating" Dave did a great job and Jett didn't feel a thing...Dr Dave was really fast too...probably because Crew was being really loud and in my attempts to keep him quiet...I failed miserably and squirted hand sanitizer in his eye....UGh...good thing a dr was close by.

Just cleaning up and getting ready to go...jett is excited to be done..now we can go and get his bribe...

We also went to denver this weekend to see a Jason Mraz concert at red rocks..it was a cool concert.

we even saw a ton of jason Mraz look-a-likes...oh wait that is just Dan....

Gary was just chillin and was lookin GA-OOD, so I had to post this one...plus it was a little bit of the scenery...ok, mostly he just looked hot.

skip to Friday night were we went to a German place to eat, it was really good, so good, Gar decided to snuggle up to Dan, just to make things a little uncomfortable.

walking in Boulder down the street with all the shops, I thought this pic was cute....it was a cute town.

while in Boulder we went to the Celestial Seasonings tea factory and had a tour, it was cool, it smelled good and Now Gar likes to drink hearbal tea...go figure.

Friday we went to the Art museam in Denver these things were just outside, Janet and I thought we were cleaver...now seeing the pic...I have to agree..

Lunch friday at an Irish pub...it was good.

At the museum here I am displaying the Norman Rockwell, I should be on the price is right...

We had a great time with no kids, thanks to great friends who were willing to watch them and others who planned the trip and met us there(janet)...it was so nice to have a weekend with just adults...I am totally ready to do it again!

Heard from afar!

Rook and Cannon are now in school and all day long they must hear thousands of different things, because they can't wait to get home and tell them ALL to me...all at once. They get home off the bus and run into the house, dump their backpacks, head straight to the pantry, start digging for food and at the same time start yelling....MOM!!! Where are YOU? So I come to the kitchen and get them out of the pantry and direct them to the snack I have set out for them on the table....Then the noise begins...all four boys. Rook and Cannon are by far the loudest...telling me about this mean girl and this nice boy, except the mean girl turned into a nice girl on the bus....butt then out of the jabber I hear, yea I told the teacher that I didnt go to bed last night because you always leave when I go to sleep....WHAT???? You told your teacher what? Why would you say that?
Rook: Because you leave.
Mom: Butt Daddy is home, did you tell her that?
Rook: No, I forget that dad is home, butt she doesn't care about dad, she just asked about you.
Mom: what did she ask?
Rook: If you come home...and I said, Yea, butt it is just in time to wake us up...cuz you want to get back to bed.

So at this point I am feeling like the biggest looser mom, thinking crap, this teacher thinks I really suck, which by the way I don't leave and stay out all night, and I definatly don't just get the kids off to school and go to bed.
So I say, why did you tell her that, what brought it all up?
And Rookie said, we were talking about listening to our parents and I said I listen to you and Cannon said I didn't and that is why I get big spankins...(he says as he is scowling at me) And I said I don't get spanks, you just kick my butt all the time, except when you leave.

boys+matches=fire!!!

So I was a busy, busy girl today. I was doing two colors at the same time and watching..(I use this term LOOSLY)...a friends kids, all at the same time. The boys were running upstairs and downstairs, and then it gets REALLY quiet! I walk into the boy cave and NO ONE is in there...so as I am on my way upstairs to check I see them all on the grass huddled around a nice little fire that they had made with pine needles and small sticks......WHAT!!! I run out there and say, you guys aren't supposed to make fires!!! Luckily I am able to stomp it out with my flip flop plad foot and send them in the house. I tell them that they arn't going to leave the boy cave for the rest of the day....butt deep down I am actually really impressed...it was a pretty good fire.

Then today I was trying to finish painting our bathroom and rook was fighting me on brushing his teeth. Of course, being the patient mom I am , I am screaming at him and then say, Rook I am tired of you yelling at me...arn't you tired of me yelling at you.. He said to me, I am mom, butt you frusterate me SOOO bad! And I make you sooo mad!

Here are just a few things that have been said as of late:
Rook: Mom, I am freezing and my head really hurts.
Mom: Why does your head hurt?
Rook: Because I slid down the hill and hit into a kid and then I punched bbthe snow into my eye, because I almost got surgery for my brain...butt I didn't because that costs too much money.
Mom: Well I am glad that you didn't get surgery.
Rook: Because you want me to die?
Mom: No I don't want you to die I love you.

Then he walks off pondering what has been said and I hear from down stairs Cannon crying.
Mom: Cannon why are you crying?
Cannon: Rookie said he is your bestest boy and you love him and NOT me.


We were riding in the van to go to scouts and I stopped at a friends house to drop some things off. Rook and Cannon are begging to go in and play.
Jett: Rook have you made friends with ace?
Rook: yea, I play with him all the time.
Jett: You are so lucky, you have ALL the social skills!
Rook: (laughing) yea and then ace tells me Im gonna kick you in the nuts!
Jett: that isn't social skills, that is karate!

Getting ready to go see Gary at work, it was lots of fun.
We got WAY too much candy, we had a ward party and people brought candy to hand out to the kids. At the end Wynn went around and told people that he would take what ever was left over ...and they would dump the HOLE bowl of candy into his bag. So yea, we have a ton.

If you are not one of our neighbors you might not know that we LIKE spiders. Cannon LOVES them, and everyone likes them. I even do. I like to watch this big one that camps out by our back door light. It is fun to watch all the bugs it catches and watch it tear down and build back up its web. We found out that it is an orb weaver, and spins those pretty webs. This one is not so pretty as it is filled with all those little affeds, which I am glad are stuck there and not in my house.

This guy, ducks in and out of the forest every so often. Since we live by the dumpster we see a lot of them. They are interesting and can get pretty dang big. I definatly would walk the other way if I saw one.

I am pretty sure a freakin squirrel did this and the only thing I have to say about them is I sure wish I had a 22 and I wish I was a good aim. Dirty buggers!


This should be a different post all together, Rook and Cannon love to pull faces and on this day Rook's little friend Matt got into the action. I ended up taking at least 20 pics of them pulling crazy faces.

And in this one, I ask the question, who's pink little baby is that? I look at Rook and Cannon and their nice tan skin and cooler pigment and think, that would be nice to look like that after a day in the sun. Then I look at Crew and am reminded how it would end up for me. He hasn't even been in the sun, he is just fussing a little and he goes bright pink. I guess I should be glad that he gets something from me.
