Jantzen's First Girlfriend

Everyday this week Jantzen has had a few extra papers in his take home folder. They aren't just any papers they are pictures that a little girl in his class has been making for him. The papers are beautiful and colorful usually just rainbows and hearts with the letter J in the middle. She branched out today and colored a picture with a basketball on it! She is a sweet little girl and I really like her family. As I was putting Jantzen to bed tonight I asked him,

"Jantz, is Hannah your best girlfriend at school?"

Jantzen- "Mom, shhhhh..." Then he whispered in my ear, "Mom, Jaxson makes fun of me when I say girlfriend, so use boyfriend as a code name!"

I then explained to Jantzen that it's probably best just to say a friend that's a girl!

Then Jantzen said, "Mom, she's my 2nd best friend, well actually 3rd!"

Me- "Who is your first best friend?"

Jantz- "Jaxson, then Trey, then Hannah!"

There are so many things I love about this conversation, but I love that his brother is his number one best friend!!! It has been something I have prayed since they were babies, and will continue to pray that maybe his younger brother might make his list one day!!

Another Lost Tooth!!

So our sweet Jantzen has had another loose tooth for a while! This kid is popping teeth out like crazy! So one night while Jaxson was sick, we let Jantz stay up late with us! We were trying to work on his tooth, but it just wouldn't come out! We even tried putting his blanket in his mouth and then yanked it out, but still nothing! Then Jantz went into the kitchen to get a drink, he came out and said, "Look, my tooth!" His tooth was in his hand! He said it fell out on the way to the kitchen!! Jantzen is so funny because he refuses to put his tooth under his pillow! He says he doesn't like the idea of a fairy flying around in his room! I don't really blame him! So we put his tooth out on the bar in our kitchen with a little note to the tooth fairy! She was kind enough and left him a note! When he saw it he said, "Well that was nice of her!!"

"Jantzen Tooth, Please Leave!!" He also drew a picture of a tooth just incase the tooth fairy can't read! The boys like to keep their teeth and put them in their special tooth jar. So we told them that if you leave a quarter for your tooth, the tooth fairy takes the quarter instead of your tooth! We also make sure we put out fairy dust so that the tooth fairy can find the tooth!

The Tooth Fairy left two Gold dollars and one silver dollar!

"Thank you for the quarter. Keep brushing those teeth!!"

Grandi Time!!!

We always love it when our Grandi comes!! Not only does Grandi bring in a breath of fresh air, but she brings in so much fun, and a break from our normal mundane and sometimes stressful life! The boys usually count down the days till Grandi arrives, personally I do to!! It is always fun to go shopping with our Grandi, because lets face it people, she is a professional! But it is also just fun to spend time with her! She is loving, giving, funny, full of energy, (we can barely keep up with her), and just such good company!!
