This too shall pass...

I took my two younger kids shopping yesterday. We made it about 25 minutes and then everyone starting losing it. Charlie was crying because he didn't get a toy. Addy was crying becasue she was tired, and wet, and hungry. I stood in line and paid for my purchases as she screamed. As soon as we walked out of the store, she stopped (of course). As I was putting the kids into the van a lady walked by and stopped right next to me. She smiled at me and said, "I so miss those days, treasure these moments." Sigh...

My baby turned ONE!

Well this post is almost four months to the date after her first b-day, but here it is..finally. I want to make sure I get all these memories down, because it's amazing how much I forget. I took the first two pics on my birthday, which was a week after Addy's. It was 70+ degrees out! It was amazing. In my 32 years I have never had a birthday with such great weather. It was a blast to spend it taking pics of my baby girl!

Her birthday was a little party with family. She loved her cake. I actually had to take it away because she was eating it so fast. I think she would have eaten the whole thing. A few other important tidbits...Addy started walking a month before her b-day. She also found a newborn binkie and fell in love with it. It's four months later and she likes binkies, but doesn't care too much about one. She was right around 22 pounds at one. Now four months later, she's 26 pounds. Ya, she's big. And really tall. Right around a year I was finally able to get a little pony tail on top of her head. I loved doing this with Gracie too when she was little.

I can't believe how fast her first year went by. And now today, March 2nd, she's only 2 months away from a year and a half old! I love that she's getting older and I'm starting to see more and more of her little personality coming out. But at the same time, I wish the days would slow down just a bit. I feel like she's growing so fast! And knowing she's my last makes it a little bittersweet.
