Sea World & San Antonio

Neil and I had a great idea - skip Sea World this summer and go in the fall when its not blazing hot and crowded. Sounds brilliant, right? We took advantage of the 4 day weekend for President's day and as an added bonus, Omie and Gramps joined us! We were right, it wasn't hot or crowded, but it RAINED all day. Omie was prepared with camo ponchos for the adults purchased from Buckee's and we bought two more for Landon and Carter.Thankfully it was only rain and not thunderstorms, so the shows still happened. We were brave and there was hardly any complaining about the rain. Carter liked the shows, but only got to see a blue tarp when he was in his stroller. We had a fun time making family memories...

We were also able to go to Kerrville to visit Grandmother and Papa Brown!

Carter's First Swing

We took a walk to the park on a gorgeous fall afternoon and Carter had his first swing. He loved it and Landon enjoyed pushing him.

Pumpkin Patch 2013

Every year, Krista and I take the kids to the Flower Mound pumpkin patch and this year we decided to go on a Saturday with the daddies! Lots of fun was had and it was Neil's first pumpkin patch with Landon. I don't know how that's possible since it was mine and Landon's 10+ trip to a pumpkin patch.

Carter's Dedication

We dedicated Carter on September 29, 2013 at Irving Bible Church. This means that Neil and I are committed to raising him in a Christian home and be the example of God's love for him. All four of us stood up at the front of church while Pastor Andy prayed over us - just as he did for Landon. Afterwards we had the whole Geurin clan over for brunch and donuts for the kids.

Carter - 6 months

This boy has stolen my heart and I may never get it back. He turned 6 months old in September and is growing and changing so much. He's happy nearly all of the time, loves sitting up and playing with toys on the floor or in the exersaucer but nothing is better than when he see his big brother. No one can make Carter laugh and squeal like Landon can! His eyes are still big and blue and he hasn't lost any of his blonde hair. Did I mention that he started sleeping 12 hours at 5 months with no sleep training? Babies do that???? Carter is an absolute joy and was worth the wait.

End of Summer and Kindergarten!

The rest of summer flew by, because I started working again. I'm working part time at our church, Irving Bible Church, in the small groups ministry. One of the perks of working at church is childcare two days a week! Landon and Carter got to come to work with me and Landon got to go on all kinds of fun field trips from the end of July to the end of August. I wasn't planning on going back to work, but God put the wonderful opportunity in front of me and I took it!

Here we are on our first day of work/kids camp

Before we knew it, it was time for Kindergarten! Landon was very excited and that made us, very excited for him. Neil and I weren't thrilled by the early mornings (7:40am!) and Landon was really tired the first couple of weeks. But just like any other transition, we powered through and are now in the swing of things!

We thought a whole Darth Vader theme was appropriate.

Vacation at Omie and Gramps

After the farm we headed to Omie's for 10 days because Pants and Preston were on their vacation from the island. It was SO good to see Pants again AND we hadn't seen Preston in over a year. We had a blast with them and with Omie and Gramps, too. We topped off the week with our annual family reunion, which happened to be in Houston this year. It was an wonderful week of family and relaxation and we are so thankful that we could all be together!

4th of July

We had the BEST 4th of July this year! Melissa invited us to her family's farm in Anderson, Texas and all four of the roomies and our families were able to go. Anderson is only 30 min from Omie and Gramps, so they were there, too! It was a day of horse feeding, a giant water slide, pop-itz, food, family and best friends! We ended the night with sparklers!
