Follow these steps to install AlphaListing and satisfy its prerequisites.  

1. WordPress 5.0 or later.
2. PHP 8.0 or higher with the mbstring extension enabled. Without mbstring, the plugin may behave unexpectedly or fail.  

1. Upload the alphalisting folder to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory.
2. Activate the plugin through the Plugins menu in WordPress.
3. Add the AlphaListing block in the Gutenberg editor or place the [alphalisting] shortcode where you want the directory to appear.
4. (Optional) Add the A-Z Site Map widget to a sidebar to provide quick navigation links.
