what a big disappointment jus when i was going to fly off to hong kong for my long awaited holiday! my results this sem is disgusting and my cap got dragged to rock bottom! )): sigh! but somehow it sparked the fire in me!! i am going to get an average of 4.5 for the rest of the 3 semesters to get at least a 4 for when i graduate!! if others can do it, so can i! hmph! once i come back from hongkong, i am so going to start mugging!! no more playin the fool, no more ponning lectures!! screw the palm reader who said that i was an 'intelligent' person! pui!
flying off in les than 24 hours time and boy am i excited! thank god i have the hong kong trip to keep my minds off things if not i will be moping ard the hosue for days! it feels super shuang to have flown home from malaysia on sunday and to be flying off again tmr! :D i hope i get to see some celebs in hong kong! and not some calefare! :D i have been seeing calefares whenever i go to hong kong! lemme meet 陈豪! or 马浚伟 also can! :D
was in malaysia over the weekend for my cousin's wedding! omg! from now on, wegetarians wedding dinners will be a no no for me! i was practically eating flour the whole dinner! in place of all kinds of meat was flour! ): makes you super full in a very unconfortable kind of way! grrr!
will be spending x'mas overseas since many many years back! planning to spend x'mas day in dsneyland! hopefully it will be a truly magical experience! poof! the most horrible sem of my uni life is over! thank god! since the end of the exams, i have mahjonged 3times, kbox-ed 3 time, swam every morn, htht-ed once, watched 2 drama serials, movie-ed once, dim sum-ed once and visited an exhibition! but somehow, i dun feel satisfied, there is something missin and somehow i cant pinpoint what is that something. i wonder why :S
new moon was seriously good! much better than the first movie! :D i am officially a fan of the fictional edward cullen! what touches me most is the love that he has for bella (: its the type of love which i believed only existed in the old days. to me, the love of today is so fickle, so hard to hold on to. no offense to anybody, its just my take on love as i see it in today's world.(: talking of which, i really feel for the poor widow whose husband died on their wddig night. what agony she must be going through, how helpless and meaningless life must have felt for her such that she would slit her wrists ):
shoo away the unhappy stuff,i finally bought the complete set of twilight books! (: its the next series of stories that had me hooked after harry potter! (:

i am finally done with my 8 assignments for this sem which means that exams are very near! ): should start mugging soon! i really cant wait for this sem to be over, this is been a very very horrible and very tiring sem!
so much has changed since the beginning of the sem till now. when i recall how much i have been looking forward to start this sem, i cant help but laugh at myself. if i had known what this sem has in store for me, i would have jus hidden in the cave until this sem was over so that i could have avoided everything that came my way.
i lost 2 very close friends and this is something which has bugged me ever since. i have lost temper, shed tears, show black face etc. much as i wan to change my whiny nature, ha! i cant do it ): i have been going on and on abt the same things the whole sem, up to the point where by i dun even dare to talk to anyone abt it anymore. no matter how uncomfortable i am feeling inside, i jus swallow it. there have been very dear people who have always listened to me, but i wouldnt want to sian them out if they keep hearing me talk abt the same thing over and over again.
it got to a point when i was super overwhelmed and tired out by everything. such that i dun even want to talk to anybody, i dun even want to socialize... ): i'm sick and tired of being judged on my every move. everything i do or say can be a subject of gossip. i used to think that the world was filled with 人情味. but now, all that i see are 人的黑暗面。it drives me cold, i feel like i am seeing the world for the first time..
but i have to admit that i have to give my wonderful frens credit, they have really been very awesome people.. jus that too much have happened... its more than i can bear ):

well, i was super pissed off yesterday when i saw something, and it made me think of how much has happened this sem and it really saddended me. when i was on the way to tuiion today, i was thinking of letting it all out this space of mine. however, suddenly an idea came to my mind, intead of lamenting what i have lost, i should count my blessings instead!
1) I have a dad who drives me around whenever and wherever.
2) I have a mum who plays mahjong, go shopping and gossips with me
3) I have a brother that I can bully! :D
4) I have 4 Diligence and its wonderful class spirit which have lasted till today (:
5) I have Jovena who stays just across the street and whom I can randomly call out for a cup of bubble tea whenever I feel like it
6) I have Ming who has been with me for 7 years and who is always just an sms or phone call away.
7) I have a BUDDY! who treats me to lunch because she feels like I matter to her
8) I have a JIEMEI! who used to chase 5566 with me! (:
9) I have Dory who always print notes for me and studies with me in Nanyang (:
10) I have Xinyun whom I can bully :D
11) I have Sab who calls me her BFF and I would gladly call her the same (:
12) I have Shiru whom I dearly call da jie and who promised to be there no matter what
13) I have Hong Ping who always stands up for me whenever he hears people badmouthing me! :D

poof! so many things have happened since the last time i was here! school has been a drag! what with 8 assignments due in the next 4 weeks, i am going insane! year 2 is really madness! makes me feel like clobbering the person who told me that uni would be the best time of my life after jc over the head with a hammer! grr! but all work and no play makes jojo a dull girl! just 2 significant events to highlight (:
1) pammie's 21st! ((:
had a cooking session at ting xin's house in the day for soci of food assignment where we were required to prepare a meal! we prepared american breakfast which was really quite a feast! with waffles, orange juice, scrambled eggs, sausages, garlic bread, bacon and fruits! (: so full that me and sab barely had the stomach to eat anymore at pam's 21st! :D ting xin's kitchen is to die for with the dishwasher, electric stove and well stocked up supplies!!
we were getting a 10 lesson dance package for pammie but we didnt know what kind of dance lessons that pammie wanted so we drew a big big voucher for her! redeemable when she wants the dance lesson (: me and sab went to simei to get the big board before heading to airport to make the 'voucher'! turned out really nice! (: wat can i say? sab has artistic talents! :D
we were one of the latest to arrive and we were also one of the many who were not dressed according to the theme! :p the chocolate desserts were da bomb! omg! birthdays are really occassions for camwhoring sessions in disguise! there were so many professional cameras going ard too! but birthdays are also occassions for us busy pple to take time off and sit down and catch up on each other's life (: thankyew uncle chong for making my day by asking me 'ehs, when is the next og outing ar?' ((: you have no idea how much it means to me ((:
2) 4DEE'05 class reunion in st nicks (:
st nicks is going to be tore down in nov so they organized a moonlight party for all old girls to go back (: 1/3 of the class went back! me, jov, yinghan, manping, maggie, liwen, sin yao, wulin, yifang, baoxian, lubin and mann ying (: super on class! :D
orange bowl and ice milo! how could i miss out on this fave combi of mine? 果条面干，不要豆芽，辣椒一点点！it was heavenly reminisience! :D
we went to the specs stand for the opening ceremony and there was a sing a long session for all the songs that we grew up with (: although mrs cheong's singing was really so so, the memories came flowing back nonetheless ((: mrs hwang came back too! omg! i really miss hearing her call us 宝贝！and we will go OEI! :D
and we went ard camwhoring in all parts of the school! some things jus never change! like how the same paintings still hang on the wall and some scrulptures are still sitting in the corner collecting dust! went back to 3dee and 4dee classrooms but alas! both classrooms were locked and all we could do was to take pictures through the window! so many fond memories of the things that we used to do in those classrooms! and 5 years on they are still teasing me about climbing window and breaking 5 whole panel of glass! bleahx!
met a lot of pple in the family lounge like jie ying, samq, jian xin etc! camwhore again! it was my mission to collect enough photos to hit the 2000 photo mark on fb! bingo! i managed to collect 2000 photos exactly! (only to have sneaky uncle chong tag one more photo and now i have 2001!)
we almost help st nicks to demolish the school building by burning it down! :D sin yao and liwen brought sparklers and candles! we used the candles to form the shape 'D' and lighted it up! and we crazily sang a birthday song to 4dee and blew it out! omg! we never grow up!
i tried to form a heart shape with sparklers and asked lubin to take a picture of it! omg! you have to wave your hands super fast! and i got muscle ache the next day! and we tried to form the sentence 'i heart heart 4dee!' with sparklers! after inhaling much smoke from the sparklers, we managed to capture a 像样 photo! :D
tadah! ((: going back st nicks relieved a lot a lot of memories ((: st nicks and 3/4dee really holds a very special place in my heart (: 爱我爱我圣尼格拉! i am soooo going to enrol my daughters in st nicks in the future :D <3

and we went ard camwhoring in all parts of the school! some things jus never change! like how the same paintings still hang on the wall and some scrulptures are still sitting in the corner collecting dust! went back to 3dee and 4dee classrooms but alas! both classrooms were locked and all we could do was to take pictures through the window! so many fond memories of the things that we used to do in those classrooms! and 5 years on they are still teasing me about climbing window and breaking 5 whole panel of glass! bleahx!
met a lot of pple in the family lounge like jie ying, samq, jian xin etc! camwhore again! it was my mission to collect enough photos to hit the 2000 photo mark on fb! bingo! i managed to collect 2000 photos exactly! (only to have sneaky uncle chong tag one more photo and now i have 2001!)
we almost help st nicks to demolish the school building by burning it down! :D sin yao and liwen brought sparklers and candles! we used the candles to form the shape 'D' and lighted it up! and we crazily sang a birthday song to 4dee and blew it out! omg! we never grow up!
i tried to form a heart shape with sparklers and asked lubin to take a picture of it! omg! you have to wave your hands super fast! and i got muscle ache the next day! and we tried to form the sentence 'i heart heart 4dee!' with sparklers! after inhaling much smoke from the sparklers, we managed to capture a 像样 photo! :D
tadah! ((: going back st nicks relieved a lot a lot of memories ((: st nicks and 3/4dee really holds a very special place in my heart (: 爱我爱我圣尼格拉! i am soooo going to enrol my daughters in st nicks in the future :D <3

today is the day that i officially say bye bye to arts club! nominations, internal elections, agm and finally thank you dinner! all of these have marked the end of my one year in arts club and thank god tha it has come to an end! lets jus say that it didnt end on a good note! but well, who cares now that everything is over?! the only happy memories that i can take away from my MC term is being a arts camp 09 ocommer (: the things that i learnt, the friends that i made, the experiences that i have and the satisfaction that i have seeing my programmes executed is what no other project can give me (:
if there is one thing that i have learnt, its how scary and ugly human nature can be! i was supposed to be publicly flamed during thank you dinner tonight and the person who suggested it was a person that i didnt even interact much with during my mc term. wah! never knew YOU had such a meancing nature! oh well... what can i say? all i can say is a very big thank you to those who are always the first to jump to my defence (:
life hasnt been very smooth sailing recently and it left me shaken.. jus to borrow a phrase from boss: sometimes it really feels like its me against the rest of the world ): there are days when i really feel like hiding out in a cave and not facing anybody... well, i need to change my whiny nature! i have been told more than once that i'm seen as the 温室里的小花 not literally but the analogy stays...its time to grow up and see the real world before me! sure, i am the 傻大姐 at home, xiaomei in school... always being protected and doted on... but one day, all these will disappear and i will have to stand on my own 2 feet to face the world! no more looking at the world through rose tinted glasses! MC should have toughened me up and made me see the realities of the world! so from today onwards, jojo will be strong! 赤子之心？its time to grow up!

the 4th week of school is starting and here am i only updating now :D if i can summarise the last 3 weeks of school in a sentence, it would be that its def not the promising term sem that i anticipated... grrr! august is always a disgusting month for me... sigh! with the end of auguust tmr, i hope that september would bring a better month ): tho august is not all dready (:
we celebrated pok's birthday at pitstop board games cafe (: me and sab met earlier to buy the present and we went on a toilet inspection tour ard ION, fullerton and taka while willing the time away to meet xinyun, shiru and pok who were coming from school. in conclusion, the toilet in ION is the posh-est and there is no way i can afford anything from this shopping mall! can only come in and use the toilet! :D we bought the 'birthday cake' which wasnt really a birthday cake since it was made up of a tomato(since pok is the ketcup) and s small logan cake :D
we were supposed to meet them at raffles place control station but decided to head to pitstop first to tell the person how to prepare the birthday surprise! we happily walked along the boat quay area only to stop in front of mind's cafe! aiyah yah! we barely made it in time before the 3 of time reached pitstop!
we coordinated to all wear blue but pok honestly thought that it was coincidene! we specially requested for violent games! not voilent we dun play! :D the waiter looked at us with a very odd expression on his face! there was this finger game that tested our pyscho motor prob and i falied miserably at this game!
tsk tsk! when it was time for the birthday cake to come out, pok's jaw dropped! jus as much as shiru and xinyun!:D inovative ba! its was sab's idea!
after pit stop, we had desserts at tcc, pok's treat! superb desserts! will def go back again for desserts! :D i was home 1.5 hours late and had my mum screaming into my ear the whole time! tsk tsk!
og outing last sunday to celebrate edwin's birthday and farewell dinner for kaimin(: super full attendance! 15! yes lah! long time since we had such a full attendance! (: zhijun, cindi, yanwei, kaimin, sab, pok, xin yun, shiru, edwin, ash, sherman, mingee, ade, pam and me! (: astons where there was cheap and good food!:D though we waited for more than 1 hour for a table for 15! there was an unexpected addition too: kaimin's gf (:
we jus making so much noise but well! the company was simply the best! my most beloved alpheus! ((: edwin totally didnt expect that we had a birthday cake for him. when the waiter brought the cake out, he was singing along with us until he heard the 'happy birthday day to edwin!', his jaw dropped and it was a pity tht i missed it! cause pple were saying that it was super hilarious!
we chilled out at starbucks when our plan of eating frolick for dessert was abandoned because folick close le!
there was this random thursday in school when me, pam, shiru and yanwei met up for lunch after my lecture. it was this random thursday of this week that shiru had suggested going to her house to play mahjong but was not carried out in the end because of the lack of khakis! when we finished lunch at about 3 plus, feeling sians not knowing what to do, i brought up the idea of going to shiru's house to play mahjong and bingo! before i know it, we were in the car on the way to shiru's house le! :D pam was going to town to meet her fren so we managed to find ade as our khaki! :D when we called she was at home watching vcds! :p
totally rocks lahs! new set of mahjong khakis! woots! :D but me, shiru and ade lost to yanwei lahs! grrr! and we termed the person who lost the most as 'santa claus' while the other pple who lost were 'elves'! at frist ade was santa claus and i was the elf! but at the end of the game shiru became the santa claus while ade downgraded to being an elf! i remained the same: elf! aiyowei ar!

woots! its the first day of sch and i am no longer a gong gong freshie(which i much rather be :D) but a senior walking ard sch! gosh! the word senior jus sounds so old! 2 lectures today! CH2274(studying the china biz environment) and SC2215(sociology of food)! the timing for soci of food was really bad! 12-2pm! exactly lunch time! and it didnt help that they were showing videos of food during lecture and i haven had breakkfast or lunch!
had lunch with dory, zhijun, sab and boss! (: things haven been going well recently and my mood really sucked... but one hour of SOLID ALPHEUS company today was all that was needed to make things right again(: really really love their company (: tmr is universe with pok, sab and xin yun! cant wait to quarrel with xin yun again! :D yes lah!
i bought a winnie the pooh chocolate egg today! its jus like kindle surprise, jus that the toy inside is one of the hundred ace wood character! (: super ex but i decided that it was time to pamper myself a little (:
yet another FOP project: OWEEK is over! though not part of ocomm but went back as station IC a couple of times (: beach games and war games! beach game was manning the same station as ou xiang! the 几个几个站起来 game in the water! for the 4th time in Sentosa as part of a FOP project, i could go into the water! yes lah! woooo! but i was dunked by some A house og! flipped and dunked face down! OUCH! and they even told me 'thanks for being a sport!' wows! realy THANKS ar! whahahahahahaha!
helped out for rag overnight too and boy was it a taxing experience!
really glad that i was part of FOP'09 as an ocommer, station IC, helper and ragger (: made a lot of nicee frens like lysia, wei wei, BUDDY! etc (: they add colours to my uni life :D
recently alpheus is on a pokemon craze and we are choosing a pokemon each and naming them with our names plus mon behind! :D blogger doesnt allow me to upload photos or we will have a more interesting entry :D

holidays are coming to an end soon! how fast time flies! it seems just like yesterday was my last paper and i was excited with the prospect of my very first 3 months holidays with a thousand and one things that i would wan to do! haha! and now the hols are coming to an end school is starting soon! much as i love the holidays, i cant wait to go back to sch too! (: going for lectures and tutorials, meeting frens along the corridors and stopping for a little chat, mugging in the library, occasional lunch breaks(: it has been a hell load of fun during the hols and the sem ahead looks to be a promising one (: (if i get all the mods that i wan! :D)
jojo is one step closer to her dream of driving a mini cooper! yes lah! i passed my btt last wed! and now i am entitled to start my driving lessons! :D its going to be ex but at the end of the day it will all be worth it! (:
had 2 very enjoyable chats last week! one was with sabby and the other was with nai ma (:
met sabby on tues at IMM for ice cream crepe and shaker fries! a quiet afternoon of good food, good company and good conversation is more than enough to keep jojo happy (: sab got to see my flaming red hair! :D and she said it was nicee! this is the 5th shade of red that i have tried so far and yes! i finally succeeeded in getting a shade of red that does not look like black! :D
met naima for breakfast on the same day! and we chatted for a full 2 hours! we finally got to fulfill our mee sua date that has been marked out since our jc days! :D meeting naima made me understand whats the meaning of friendship (: not meeting up everyday but still being able to talk and laugh as though the distance never mattered at all ((: naima was equally shocked by my red hair! whahahaha! :D
went back for oweek sports day on fri (: yes lah! sports day is my pet project! :D i was sooo sad when i thought i couldnt go back for sports day because of the photoshoot for bash. but in the end i managed to go back and i was jumping for joy! :D i helped lysia with her station and walked ard with xiao hoon observing the games (: its seems as if it was jus yest that i was doing the same thing with shiru (: I MISS MY PROGRAMMER DAYS! :D

this week is definitely HEALTHY LIFESTYLE WEEK! i think even pe lessons twice a week in jc does not even come close to what i have done this week! monday swimming, wed badminton and today tennis! whoosh! all in the name of good and cheap fun! (: this time there was zhijun, cindi, yanwei, hong ping, pok and me! :D
surprise surprise! i was the earliest! :D i even managed to wake up at 8 to give everyone morn call! :D or rather morn sms! and i threatened to blast their phones with phone call if they did not reply me by 8.30 to show that they are awake! zhijun and yanwei really replied within the half an hour, with less than 5 mins to spare before i blast their phones! :D whahahahaha! hong ping was the earliest to reply! but then again, our dear uncle soh has the habit of sleeping early and waking up early!
i only managed to borrow 4 rackets from my cousin while there were 6 of us! so while 4 of us would be playing, the other 2 would be picking the balls! :D we only booked one court but since the court next to us was empty, we played there too!
i was playing with cindi and we both agree that our tiredness come from picking the balls and not playing tennis! :D hong ping picked up the skills super fast! after a while he was playing like a pro le! the most tiring game i played was the one against yanwei! omg! really cannot play with guys one on one! cause they naturally use more strength than us and the balls tend to fly faster and higher making it harder to hit! a couple of times, the ball almost went over the fence into the drain outside! we attempted to have 10 continous serves without stopping but failed! we only managed until 9 and got stuck there! grrr!
each of us have funny moments on the court! da ban jie play tennis super cute de! she will hold the racket with 2 hands like its her life line! when she hit the balls, somehow it will fly upwards and she will look ard to see whether has the ball flown to! :D there are times when yanwei will try to act shuai but missed the ball! cindi's balls always tend to fly into the next court and the people will b confused as to which is the ball they are supposed to hit! hong ping will serve very shuai-ly BUT the balls tend to get caught in the net! i tend to forget that i am playing tennis and attempt jump up and hit the high balls like trying to hit a shuttlecock! pok who sometimes have difficulty sending the balls over the net despite using full strength! :D
its difficult to do a jump shot when you are holding a racket in ur hand! i jumped and jumped and jumped! ooooh! tiring! haha! before uncle soh managed to capture a nicee shot! :D we forgot that the tennis courts were right in front of yio chu kang mrt station and while we were jumping and jumping, the people on the platform were staring at us like we were some mad frogs! super malu! :p
now then i realise tennis is sooo fun! tempted me, zhijun and hong ping to buy tennis rackets! :D
zhijun and yanwei left early so me, pok, cindi and hong ping headed down to amk hawker centre again for lunch! we spent a good hour talking abt the diff sports and trying to decide what is the next spot we should try out! :D apparently the current plan is basketball next tues! but we have to find enough players first! :D till then, jojo is a super tired and aching but happy girl after healhty lifestyle week! :D

as i am typing out this blog post, my hand muscles are screaming in protest! looks like i have to admit that i am old afterall! after reaching the big 2! hoho! hong ping once mentioned about how our og outings are getting unhealthy and expensive cause all we do is go out and eat! :D so i promised to organize cheaper and more healthy outings which i did yest!
first healthy ALPHEUS outing: badminton at yio chu kang stadium! :D
me, pok, yanwei, hong ping and 2 of his frens played a full 2 hours of badminton yest! perspired like nobody's business! but it was super shiok! (: we booked 2 courts and at any one time, there will be 4 people playing in one court and 2 people in the other court. me,pok and yanwei would always be the ones playing the 4 people court de and hong ping and his frens would take turns to come over and play with us! i got to say that the best game was when i was pairing with hong ping vs pok and yanwei! :D cause can see how pok and hong ping 挑逗 each other over the net! super funnys! haha! and there was a number of classic moments!
1) pok was pairing with hong ping's fren, luke den the both of them wanted to attack the shuttlecock and they hit the shuttlecock at the same time! what happened next was hilarious! their badminton rackets went flying!!
2) i was supposed to serve the shuttlecock over to the other side but i couldnt find the shuttlecock! only to find that the feathers of the shuttlecock was caught in my racket so it stuck there and i couldnt even fling it off! hong ping had to extract it from my racket! :D
3) in a bid to hit the shuttlecock over the net, i held the badminton racket with both hands and jumped! den hong ping named this 招 of mine as 拜观音！grrr! and they were laughing and trying to imitate me! grrr!
4) yanwei standing at the net and trying to block us with his racket to prevent us from 出-ing 溅招 of hitting the shuttlecock lightly over the net!
5) pok running sideways to hit the shuttlecock and hong ping calling her a crab!
whahahahah! overall it was a good exercise session! but even how much we exercise we put it back on with a hearty meal at amk hawker centre! followed by a very long htht session! :D which made me felt that i 上了人生宝贵的一课！ yanwei and i headed back to school for arts bash meeting at about 6 plus and we got a ride home from xiao hoon at night!((: having a car ride home would beat taking the bus anytime! thankyews xiao hoon! woke up this morn in agony! cause my right hand and left leg was aching like nobody's business and every little movement can make me whince in pain! tsk tsk! but still we will be playing tennis tmr! this time we have zhijun and cindi too! yays! (: looking forward!
first healthy ALPHEUS outing: badminton at yio chu kang stadium! :D
me, pok, yanwei, hong ping and 2 of his frens played a full 2 hours of badminton yest! perspired like nobody's business! but it was super shiok! (: we booked 2 courts and at any one time, there will be 4 people playing in one court and 2 people in the other court. me,pok and yanwei would always be the ones playing the 4 people court de and hong ping and his frens would take turns to come over and play with us! i got to say that the best game was when i was pairing with hong ping vs pok and yanwei! :D cause can see how pok and hong ping 挑逗 each other over the net! super funnys! haha! and there was a number of classic moments!
1) pok was pairing with hong ping's fren, luke den the both of them wanted to attack the shuttlecock and they hit the shuttlecock at the same time! what happened next was hilarious! their badminton rackets went flying!!
2) i was supposed to serve the shuttlecock over to the other side but i couldnt find the shuttlecock! only to find that the feathers of the shuttlecock was caught in my racket so it stuck there and i couldnt even fling it off! hong ping had to extract it from my racket! :D
3) in a bid to hit the shuttlecock over the net, i held the badminton racket with both hands and jumped! den hong ping named this 招 of mine as 拜观音！grrr! and they were laughing and trying to imitate me! grrr!
4) yanwei standing at the net and trying to block us with his racket to prevent us from 出-ing 溅招 of hitting the shuttlecock lightly over the net!
5) pok running sideways to hit the shuttlecock and hong ping calling her a crab!
whahahahah! overall it was a good exercise session! but even how much we exercise we put it back on with a hearty meal at amk hawker centre! followed by a very long htht session! :D which made me felt that i 上了人生宝贵的一课！ yanwei and i headed back to school for arts bash meeting at about 6 plus and we got a ride home from xiao hoon at night!((: having a car ride home would beat taking the bus anytime! thankyews xiao hoon! (:

my blogger got prob which prevented me from updating for almost a week! grrr! anyways, its has been an enjoyable 20th birthday (: many people have been asking me how does it feel like hitting the big 2! hmmm... not much diff lehs! cause i feel that being able to age is a good thing (: means that you will have a long life ahead of you :D thats my analogy! jun yue was telling me how the people ard you plays a very impt role in how old you feel! he was recounting his story of how he is only 22 but feels super old cause people ard him are calling him uncle! den like that no matter how old i am, i will always feel young cause the people ard me always call me xiaomei! whoosh! 长生不老！ yes lah!
20th birthday was spent at marina barrage with ming and jov (: there was nobody but us at the top of the barrage and we had the whole field to ourself! (: just laze ard on the picnic mat reading LIFE, gossiping and eating! tho it was super cloudy, the sun was scorching hot! and out came my banana boat! not that it was any use since i was already super burnt during pre camp on the monday and tues before my bday! :D sometimes its really simple pleasures like these that make me realise how lucky am i having these 2 girls in my life for the past 7 years and counting :D
there was this young couple who was providing a lot of entertainment for us! :D they were PDA-ing in front of us and we stopped our gossiping to look at them! many times they almost kiss lehs but didnt! den we were jiayou-ing for them! :D when they finally peck each other on the cheek (tho its only a peck), me and ming yee were so excited that we exclaim out loud! we went YES! den the couple turn ard and look at us! super embarrassing!
we attempted to take a lot fo jump shots with the singapore flyer as our backdrop! but always failed! we never have a complete picture of 2 or more pple up in the air! but i mus say i 90% of the time were up in the air! haha! practise makes perfect!
ming and jov were super cute! they wantd to surprise me with a cake but they took super long to light up the candle cause the wind was super big! in the end i had to pretend that i didnt know what they were doing! hahaa! and i didnt get to make my wish! i had to blow out the candle before the wind does! :D overall a day well spent!
and it was crab feast with my family in the night! (: thanks for all the wishes via facebook, sms or msn ((: felt really loved (:

THANKYEW ALPHEUS FOR THE BIRTHDAY SURPRISE! this is the 2nd year that you guys are celebrating my birthday for me and every year you guys jus never fail to create many many wonderful memories for me! (: last year it was jo the bear, this year is the super sweet book of birthday wishes that you all have compiled! thank you ALPHEUS for the surprise! honestly didnt see it coming! (:
xin yun msged me on friday telling me that she emo and wanted to come out and talk so not suspecting anything, i agreed.
met xin yun and pok at 4 plus to htht until a phone call came at 5.30 when xin yun say that it was her float head telling her that she has to go back to hall and hence she need to leave le. quite saddened. haha!
den pok and i went up to the arcade area to see people kiap soft toys! there was this malay guy who managed to kiap a soft toy at every machine he went to! so being tempted, i used $7 to try and kiap a mickey mouse which LOOKED as if it was the easiest thing on earth to kiap but it was actually not! grrr! but i mus say that i very li hao! :D whahahah! cause everytime the 'claw' managed to kiap the mickey mouse but shake too much den it will drop out! sigh!
tadah! i saw uncle chong at the atm and wanted to appraoch him but pok stopped me cause she say that we cant creep up to him when he was taking money! and she dragged me to see pple kiap soft toy again and alas! uncle chong disappeared! when i msg him, he say that he was going to watch ice age 3! and i cant believe that i actually believed!
when it was ard dinner time, pok suggested waraku! and still not suspecting anything, i followed her to waraku! it was only when i heard her telling the waitress that her fren reserved a room that i suspected something! and true enough, the waitress led us to a 'room' and alpheus was there shouting 'SURPRISE!' whoo hoo! totally didnt expected it! ((:
there was another 3 surprises waiting for me!
1) the lights suddenly off and the waiter came in carrying a cake! (:
2) hong ping singing '一百万'and handing me my present!
3) sab presenting me this book like thing which was all the msgs that alpheus gave me compiled into a book ((: favest! :D
hong ping, shiru, ash, pok and me carried on with dessert at xin wang while yanwei, zhijun, sab and xin yun took 97 back to sch and home! thankyew msgs in the next post!

jus a little note before the start of this post: i too lazy to find another blogskin for the moment and my tagboard has been replaced by the comments option at the end of every post (:
jojo is back from ARTS CAMP 2009!
when i said that i was tired during ARTS CAMP 2008, it was small fry compared to this year ARTS CAMP! i think i pushed my limits even further than pre camp! 2 hours of sleep a day minus the 2nd day was pretty draining! but we still pulled through in the end! (: go ocomm!
day zero
headed back to sch after the mediacorp course! not much logistics to do since my programmes were on day 2 and day 4. after ocomm briefing, we celebrated alpheus 1 year old bithday! (: uncle chong bought this super nicee greentea with red bean cake from breadtalk. i got to know another 2 councillors from anchor the new og and we went to bathe together at eusoff hall! another 2 frens made (: yay!
day one
i was doing registration for the freshies and councillors and i had to wear the N95 mask! whoo hoo! it was so difficult to breathe in the mask! in the end, half way through registration, i jus took off the mask! :p

night games was da bomb! the station that i totally enjoyed! :D DANDRUFF NO MORE! freshies had to shampoo their hair and trasfer the foam to another freshie's body! totally hilarous! but this was the station that i lost my voice despite having a loud hailer! whoo hoo! i found my loud hailer buddy: daisy! :D she rocks mans! she was jus holding the problematic loud hailer for me for at least 5 rotations! yay!

my very first program! PROJECT SHOOT IT! there were a total of 5 locations this year: IKEA, IMM, Holland V, Clementi and West Coast Plaza. I took charge IKEA and Holland V while desmond took charge of Clementi, IMM and West Coast Plaza! we went out with A and R house to survery the stations and made sure everything was alright. there was some hiccups at IKEA but we managed to settle it in the end! when T and S house went out for PSI too, the both of us totally relaxed liao! :D
we sneaked a few winks in the clubroom! den me, ming guang, yi heng and desmond went out to 'patrol' but in actual fact we were having fun outside! whahahah! we went to west coast plaza for chicken rice (desmond treat! :p) and then later to IMM for ice cream crepe! but alas! the crepe was out of stock! saddened! i mus clarify that we did went to the respective stations to visit our station ICs de los! :D
station IC for POI! 20 rotations almost killed me! had a splitting headache pus an emo breakdown that night. felt super guilty cause really i wasnt the most tired one ard but i thank everyone who offered a word of comfort/encouragement (: special thanks to zhijun my dearest da ban jie who accompanied me back to eusoff hall and chop toiletcubicle for me to bathe (:
day 3
beach day station IC! BITE MY APPLE! a station that involved a lot of biscuit biting and leopard crawling! this station needed a lot of manpower since the poles kept dropping! and again shi chen was the logger who helped me for this station! haha!
the weather was not merciful that day! when we finished the rotations for beach games, it started raining! ): when the rain became a drizzle, we carried on with mass games and tug of war! this time i was the balloon woman for S house! in charge of as the name suggests giving out balloons to S house! :D yay! A house won the first round of tug of war! (:
SP revealation was cancelled due to the rain! sigh! so we all headed back to school early where a hot shower was the bestest thing on earth!
day 4
SPORTS DAY! (: my 2nd program! the sun was back and sports day really went smoothly! (: cheerios to my fellow programmer SHIRU for a good job done! (: really glad that the freshies enjoyed sports day and there was good feedback from the ground (: a big thankyews to all my stations ICs (:
sorry ar but let me zi lian a bit! i mus say i like holding the mike and talking in front of the camp! whahahahaha! opps!
pre war was unfortunately cancelled due to some admin matters and we carried on with war games at the basketball courts! was a internal refree this time and again i enjoyed blowing whistle at the freshies! whahahahaha! :D
clubbing at night! was pulled onto the dance floor and i think i was jus some suay ku standing there like a block of wood cause i really dunno how to dance! :s record number of drunkard freshies this year! as coded from somebody 'a lot of upskirt and down blouse' this year!
day 5
break camp break camp! house ICs had their tear jerking speeches and we had the circle of friendship where we had to go ard shaking everyone's hand but eusoff hall the function hall was too small and in the end we had to form 4 small circles instead of 1 big circle!
ocomm had our own htht session and there were a lot of emo people crying! i was def one of them! :D but yea i really agree with what some people said its 53 friends gained! and there was really this ever helping, selfless spirit! i feel proud to be part of the ARTS CAMP 2009 OCOMM! ((:

whoo hooo! my bad habit is back: failure to update my blog regularly! :p it has been 2 weeks almost since i was away! in the meantime a few updates of what i have been doing! (:
it was supposed to be alpheus karoke session but in the end turn out only me, shiru, zhijun, hong ping and yanwei can make it! and coincidentally we were programmers for arts camp too! so it was a secret alpheus/programmmers outing? whahahaha!
uncle chong brought us to some very ulu pony stable in pasir ris park! but its super fun lahs! can feed them straws and pat them! wheee! (: but unfortunately cant ride the pony! cause only for CHILDREN! one day i will go to the bukit timah stables and ride a HORSE!
we had a stunning moment when we went to the playground! we were playing with the children and helping them rotate this thingie when suddenly one boy said to sab 'HELLO BABY!' ahahahaha! both of us were stunned, wondering if we heard the right thing! whahahaha! den when we took photo with them, the bohy said 'i want to stand beside the BEAUTIFUL girl!' tsk tsk! so small also so sweet tongue! this boy will be a girl killer next time mans! and he is non other than the boy who is trying to be funny by putting his hand on sab's hair!
only my bicycle got basket and uncle chong called me aunty! grrr!
we headed to airport after for popeyes! (: yay! i love the mash potatoes! :D
3) botantic gardens with arts camp ocomm today! (:
1) karoke session plus steamboat dinner with alpheus/programmers
it was supposed to be alpheus karoke session but in the end turn out only me, shiru, zhijun, hong ping and yanwei can make it! and coincidentally we were programmers for arts camp too! so it was a secret alpheus/programmmers outing? whahahaha!
our steamboat dinner was like a jin zhen gu buffet! shiru and yanwei were crazy about jin zhen gu and they kept refilling our plates with jin zhen gu! tsk tsk!
2) cycling+pony feeding+popeyes with sab and uncle chong! jus a random urge to go cycling the night before and i was super surprised that there will be people who dun mind going cycling with me even when i ask them at 11 plus the night before! yays! (:

all i can say is that my tarot cards are a very good investment cause they were very popular! hahaha! all i can say is may all good things be true (: esp for my dj course de! :D did super lots of jump shots too! super tiring!
4) genting trip over the weekend with my family! the weather was superb! all i can say is that going overseas everytime jus gives me one more reason to love sunny little singapore! :D really! after travelling from genting to the airport, i can only say that i wouldnt ever complain about travelling from hougang to jurong again! or anywhere else that is 'far' from hougang! didnt managed to win my target of 5000rm! in the end only win 210rm! yesh! i sneaked into the casino! whoo hoo!
5) there is no more gelares at hougang mall! i met up with jovena on the last tues that gelares was in operations!! it was a super random afternoon when i msg jov to ask her out for lunch and she didnt have to work that day so we say can eat half price waffle too! imagine our horror when we saw that it was the last time we will be eating tuesdays half price waffles! boo hoo hoo!!
jov headed back to my house and we played tarot cards too! jov's wash toilet husband, where are you??! whahahahaha! [i can see jovena throwing the shoes at me! :P]
6) dinner with shiru and xin yun on sat! (: plus lunch with dory in the afternoon on the same day! (: its nicee to jus talk and catch up over a meal with dear friends (:

jus a random thought here (:
i rmb somewhere in the archive of this blog, i mentioned that the state of busyness that i was in was insane and i was grumbling about it because of the lack of sleep and how i did not have time for myself sometime during sem1.
well, i can say that although i am just as busy now, i am actually enjoying the busyness (: hmmm... i jus it has really got a lot to do with the people that you are working with. back then, the comm that i was working with was a comm that makes me wan to run away from them, dun turn up for meetings, ignore phone calls and sms until the very last moment.
now, i love the comm that i am working with aka arts camp 2009 comm esp the programmers (: that day i was talking to hong ping abt it and we agreed that all the programmers are very very nicee people who are always ready to help out in terms of log or being station ic or giving productive feedback. (: and hong ping was saying that this year's programmes can tell that everyone put in a lot of effort and the games arent jus thought out to be fillers. this i got to totally agree with him (: i really enjoying working and hanging out with them (: i dun mind going for meetings and i dun reply sms or answer phone call until the last moment possible! :D and of cos your heads make a very big diff too. for now, i am enjoying the hustle and bustle of being a programmer (: yay!
nowadays, i'm super happy with how my life is going (: so much so that sometimes i feel like dancing in the rain and shouting my happiness out to the world :D

whoo hoo! the 3 of us were the earliest! we met at woodlands mrt at 5 and we took 187 to bukit batok csc where zhijun's 21st was. before that i bought a pair of black heels to fit my dress! (:
we attempted to help with the decorations by blowing up the ballons! we formed a worker chain. yanwei will blow the balloon, pok will hold the balloon and i will tie them up! as can be seen from yanwei's face, he almost died! there was one totally er xin moment when somehow or rather, yanwei sucked back the air from the balloon that he was blowing :s yucks! me and pok jumped away in horror! pok has purposely apply lip gloss so that she doesnt have to blow the balloons! sneaky!
in the meantime, we were entertaining ourselves with taboo! (:
and camwhoring! :D me and pok are taller than xin yun with heels! :D
ade is rich again after collecting money from us for the present!
