Just uploaded two new songs from our 7″ I skuggan av eran stia. Click here to listen. The tracks are Scenens död and Förnedringskassan. I also added the lyrics (only swedish).

Med omslag tecknat av Magnus “Crash-Mag” Jansson och bandfoto med nitvästssvidad vokalist säger det sig självt att dessa östgötar piskar d-taktspunk på den här sjutummaren.

Och manglet är helt klart schysst rens i KRIGSHOT-skolan, med föredömligt sprucken ljudbild; precis som sig bör.

Texterna är å andra sidan inte mycket att orda om; generiska svenska råpunkstexter som knappast tangerar några TOTALITÄR-höjder. Och “parodin” på  MODERAT LIKVIDATIONs “Nitad” (“Spritad”) faller platt – tramsig. Däremot kul med en låttext som behandlar svininfluensa-hysterin! Allting går som bekant att sälja med mördande reklam/mediakampanjer, vilket attackeras i “Svinhysterin”. Fram för fler udda ämnesval inom hardcore!

Allt som allt är “Grisigast I Östergötland” en vinylbit som är bättre än genomsnittet, om än kanske inte någon blivande buppu-duppu-du-klassiker.

Dessa ord som skrivs nu, skrivs av mig personligen, och medlemmar i Glöm Dä! måste inte ställa sig bakom mig. Men vad är det för grej att påpeka att mina texter inte är skrivna som Totalitärs höjder? Är det ens värt att nämna? Jag förstår faktist inte sammanhanget. Vad har mina texter med Totalitärs texter att göra? Jag vet att Tottis har väldigt genomtänkta texter, men jag skriver absolut inte på det sättet. Jag tog väl egentligen inte speciellt illa upp, bara att jag förstår verkligen inte poängen med att jämföra texter? Alla har vi alla olika sätt att uttrycka sig genom texter./ Årre

Jag tycker Glöm Dä!s kombination av kaos och mangel är lysande och singelformatet perfekt för bandet. Jag vet inte riktigt om jag skulle överleva en fullängdare, men Linköpingsgänget får gärna testa mig. Dessutom, som oftast, grymt (!) snyggt omslag av Crash-Mag.” TURIST I TILLVARON

So know I finally dragged my thumb out of my ass and updated this wordpress. We have some patches and backpatches for sale.  Click on merch to see what we have in storage . We will print more after new years.  And as usual this is done by ourselves and noone else.

I also added a contact page so you all can send armfarts and fanmail to us and a Mp3 section so you can listen to some tunes here instead of fucking myspace. Its a player from our soundcloud. Only one song so far…

The 5th of March we’re going to play with Discharge, Massgrav and Restless Knights.

It´s going to be a killer night here in Linköping. The tickets are out now on Tickster. The gig will take place at LÓrient and first band will probably hit the stage 21.00, so be there in time because chances are that we are first out! The price is 150sek for advanced tickets or 190sek in the door. Tickets are also available through Skivlagret or LÓrient in Linköping.

It´s Saturday night and I´m just sitting at home taking it easy. Listening to FALLOUT – ‘spit on the innocence‘. Thinking about how much thrills I get from all these different songs/bands I can just play on my vinyl or on my computer. I dont need to go out every day/weekend to drink my ass off.

I also think this is a major problem within the Punk scene. To much things are based on alcohol (hanging out, gigs, and so on). Are we so stupid so we have forgotten what we are here for? We are here to kick fucking ass, not to play ourselves in their hands by submitting to slavery. We have a long struggle in front of us and it´s not going to change unless we do something about it. Drinking doesn´t solve any problem, but I know how difficult it can be to be around people when you´re sober. But this is something we all have to begin to think about.

We cant let ourselves becomes slaves to alcohol to get by our daily life. Everything is shit, I know.

But it´s about time that the whole greedy system goes to hell!

I was most definitely surprised when this little bad boy dropped down the mailbox a couple of weeks ago. I’ve really been longing for it, but I honestly haven’t had the meager amount of four euros to actually afford purchasing it. So imagine my joy when I received it as a promo instead! I’ve heard lots of previews, and it feels like Glöm Dä is the new rave in the Swedish hardcorepunk scene, so I had some humongous hopes for the vinyl to kick some serious arse.
And by gosh, they surely didn’t disappoint. They start off raging right from the get go. The d-beat hits you like a ten ton hammer, and their mix of American, Scandinavian, Asian, whatever crustcore really comes off as nothing but picture perfect. One moment I get some State of Fear vibes, suddenly it’s a short spur of Disclose, the next moment I feel some Totalitär to nestle its way into their sound, and for a while I even think of Snifter.

For the opening track, Jobba supa äta skita pissa sova dö, there’s even a slight rockin’ guitar line, getting me thinking of Misery and Extinction of Mankind. Era sopor våran mat has a major hardcore base, but as it gets going I can’t help but to think of Warcollapse. So it’s safe to say there’s tons of familiarity when it comes to Grisigast i Östergötland, which also serves as a standing point for the fact that they don’t really bring anything new to the table. And to be perfectly honest I couldn’t care less!

Each song is a complete rager. They whip up a sound that’s both basic and contrived, probably drawing influence from all over the place. It’s ridden with adrenaline, filled with energy, pissed-as-hell and intrusive as a mother… I understand now why everyone’s talking about this young bunch like they’re the new saviours of Swedish crustcore. Sure, the lyrics aren’t exactly mind-blowing, artsy fartsy and thought-inducing; it’s just basic rants about everyday life.

Årre’s vocals have really come a long way since his days in Extinguish (the first time I came across his work), and his harsh scream goes utterly well in hand with the deeper, and slightly more grunting, back-ups popping up every now and then. The production is raw, yet highly accessible, and everything just comes together in a merry and wholesome record for the entire family. Now I just need to get ahold of their new 7” and the split with Dörrterror.
