Update!

Wow. This blogging thing is hard to keep up on! I really stink at it. Here's a quick...or not so quick...update of the September happenings at the Glover house.

Haven's birthday was a super success. Bubbles, presents, cake, cousins, and the park...who could ask for more?

ImageBy the way...the totally cute pictures of Haven on her birthday were taken by my awesome sister, Jamie. She Rocks! Which brings us to the next thing we did this month...

Jamie took some pictures of the girls after church one day. Let me just say...I will never pay to have pictures done again...well, unless I pay HER!! I love, LOVE them. (oh yeah, Katie Orton made the cute flowers thier hair. She is so good!)ImageImageImage

ImageSo many great ones to choose from...thanks Jam! Oh and another good thing about having Jamie take the pictures....all pictures taken, back in the truck, on our way home....20 minutes! So much nicer than sitting in Sears or some picture place for at least an hour!!

September has largely been spent adjusting to school and the routine of it all.

  • Haven LOVES going to Aunt Angies to play with Cydnee and the Trey-man. It is such a blessing to have another sister here in K-Town who is willing to help me with my girls. Thanks Ang.
  • Halle is really enjoying Kindergarten. She loves her teacher, her classmates and picking her own closthes in the morning. (mom does NOT enjoy that part!)
  • Jayci is growing up way too fast. Her permanant teeth are coming in...finally! She loves reading and school and Hannah Montana.
  • I am probably having the hardest time adjusting to our routine. I am not a morning person! But I love teaching and am learning lots and working hard and loving it.
  • Dad is still working hard all week and then having some QT (quality time) with Haven and Halle on Fridays. He had a great time bow hunting this month...even though I think he never really even looks for deer...it's just about the camping and being with friends. The Black Powder hunt starts any day now and...well, we will miss him! haha.

I also had to pull off the whole Homecoming Week Extravaganza with the Cheerleaders this month. What a deal that is!! I remember Homecoming being so fun in High School...but when you are in charge of the Cheerleaders...not so much! It was a lot of hard work and unnecessary drama but it was fun and worth it in the end. I'm trying to post a cute picture of the Cheerleaders but blogger is being dumb and won't let me...Bah! Halle got to ride on the Kindergarten float in the parade. I am sure it was no accident that she was seated right by an adult! She's a mess...but a very cute mess!

Hopefully I will post again before another month or so passes. In the mean time, watch Dancing with the stars (oooh so much fun!), go Cowboys!, and get out your hoodies! I love this time of year.

2 Years Old!

Today my baby turns 2. Crazy. Haven has been such a fun kid. Her sweet little personality was just what our family needed. She is such a blessing. She loves to snuggle and has all of the rest of us wrapped around her finger. We are going to have a little party for her at the park this evening so I will post pictures of that later....for now here is a look back at my little Haven!

Here is Haven Leslie Glover...just 5 hours old. So sweet.

This is Haven about 7 months old. I love those beautiful eyes.

Here is Haven about 1 year old, just learning to walk. She has always loved to be outside.

This picture was taken on our way to the pool this summer. Haven loves to put on my shoes, jewelry and sunglasses. You can't see it but she has my flip flops on too. Too cute.

Here favorite thing lately has been following Halle around and trying to be just like her. (scary thought!) She follows her all over the neighborhood and loves to take baths with her. Halle is a good sister and very patient with her most of the time. Aren't sisters fun??

Finding time to post

Hi! It has been a really long time since my last post. Life around the Glover house is CRAZY! As most of you know, I will be teaching at the High School next year and I have been busy getting my room and curriculum ready. Coby has been busy working with the State Road crew. Add that to Cheerleading (yes, I am coaching the cheerleaders too) and Football and we are hardly holding still.

But being busy is good and we have managed to throw a little fun in now and then too.

Here's a few pictures of the 24th of July. Haven was all over the candy gathering this time. Jayci was the ultimate big sis and helped Haven with the candy gathering. Halle decided at the LAST minute that she wanted to be on a float. On our way to finding the 2nd ward primary we passed Amber and Larry's kids on the 1st ward float. Halle thought that would be super fun, so she rode with her cousins.

Next my sweet sister Angie and her family made the big move to K-Town. This is fabulous news! Angie is tending my kids while I teach and let me tell you, it is WAY easier on the heart-strings to leave your kids with your sister than anyone else. Love ya, Ang! Now all 5 sisters are in Kanab (for a few weeks) and we have been living it up with swimming parties and bbq's. (Can you smell Hal's bacon-wrapped filet's?? YUM!)

This brings us to my latest adventure....a mini cheer camp at my grandparents cabin in Pine Valley. I really am liking cheer although it is a TON of work and quite stressful! I feel like I need to call Lisa Johnson and Karen and apologize for all the headaches I must have caused them back in the day. Here are a couple of pictures from our cheer camp fun!

Image Oh yeah, Ebbi was awesome enough to come with me and be the "other adult". (yes, you heard that right, Ebbi and I were the responsible adults on this one! HA!) Somehow, someone (Jaylyn-but she denies it!) locked Ebbi's key's in her car. These picture are of the cute cheerleaders trying to break in with a wire hanger. They were successful! Yeah!
Image
Image This is the only picture I took of them actually doing cheer stuff. They are awesome and we are going to have a fun year...if I survive!

Back to the business of being busy! See you soon.
