Imperial Guard Aegis Defence Line

So I've decided to build an Aegis Defence Line for my Imperial Guard a week back. I also wanted it to be a sort of display for my army and I want to make it unique on it's own too.

Thanks to Carl, he managed to encourage me to use green stuff to sculpt the sand bags, and yeah, that's a lot of green stuff used.

I wanted to make it feel as if they have been camped in the same position for a while now, and they will obviously bring extra equipment with them. Picked out some bits and mixed them up. The green barrel is from Tamiya.

Just a comparison with a text model.

The gun is not glued, just in case I don't need the gun, I can use the Aegis on it's own.

Adding a little doo dads and making sure I don't over clutter the place.

Some pictures of it complete. I didn't want to use weathering powder as I don't want to overdo the thing.

Some communication equipment, tool box, and some extra lasguns.

In case someone wants to be cheeky with me, I can put my tanks in it too.

So yeah, I'll need to paint more infantry to fill up the ranks of my Imperial Guard.

Merkava Mk IV LIC

I actually started on this tank a couple of months ago, but I've been neglecting it after assembly since I had a very hard time selecting the correct colours for this tank. But in the end, I finally got around to finishing it.

Assembly was simple enough, the only thing is that some of the parts are really fragile and small. With patience, it was completed after about a week.

The crazy part about assembling this tank is the forming of the balls and chains. I had to cut hemispheres to glue them on the brass etch.

The kit doesn't come with the cloth drab. So I used some leftover paper bag to form the cloth drab for the tank, there is no way I could pass up the opportunity to display the tank's markings.

After doing some minor colour modulation, detailing, and adding the decals, I finished the tank. I'm quite happy with it since it's one of my favourite modern tanks out there.

Jagpanzer IV

I took quite some time with this tank as I was really distracted with my other stuffs. I managed to somehow finish it even though I felt like procrastinating a little more.

The weathering turned out better than I thought, and I really like it now. I probably gotta retake the last image as it is a little too dark.

Imperial Guard Stormlord

After painting a lot of scale model tanks, I've decided to put my skills to the test back with a 40k model. I had a lot of ideas on which colour scheme to paint for this tank, and after contemplating a whole lot, I've decided to go for the standard colours. I like how it turned out, so I'll be building a whole army themed like this.

Panzer III Ausf N

When I saw the box of this kit, I knew I had to paint one. Especially the desert colour variant that was used in Tunisia.

So assembly wasn't too difficult, I tried a different approach by not gluing on the tracks till I paint the road wheels.

I tried colour modulation this time, out of curiosity and the urge to learn it, I somehow managed to pull it off.

After weathering. I would admit that I actually went a little overboard with the weathering. I'm not really used to painting bright colours, but I'm adapting. Also, I've went the extra mile and put on a little antenna in the slot for the tank.
