Stancenation Japan 2018 Odaiba

It's been some time since the last post, but this is a post I've been excited to write. I really wish we could have all been here to see all these cars because Chris and Sean would tell me all about these cars they would see in magazines and the internet over all these years, so it was surreal to see these in person and have photos to share.

Fortunately and unfortunately this was the last Stancenation in Odaiba (or at least until after next year because of the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo), but I was able to come out to this one and finally meet a lot of friends I found over Facebook and see them and their cars. These guys are from all over Japan and lots of them drove very long distances to come out to this giant event. I realized a lot more of them came out than I thought after I saw some more photos, that's just how big this show was.

I saw lots of VIP cars, Silvias, classics, etc. What I love about these shows is that these are guys just like all of us who do this for their hobby. It's different when you see some shops who have a much crazier budget doing their cars because you expect something like that.

Finally got to see Kentaro Yamamoto's Crown, this thing is really something else. Caged out, manual, bucket seats, all on a VIP car. Came out 4.5 hours from Nagoya for this.

I might have seen this Z from Tokyo Auto Salon the past few years, who doesn't love a Wangan Midnight Devil Z?

This Spirit Rei widebody kit is so seamless, its hard to tell that its a widebody at all because the bolt on points are so well hidden.

Finally got to meet the man who shares the same love for soarers and RWB after a few years. Really hoping my SC will turn out this nice when I'm done.
