Worker Protections Plunge Under Trump’s Second Term

Two federal regulatory agencies charged with enforcing wage and workplace safety conditions are taking drastically fewer actions against companies; at the same time, proposed rule changes by the administration will give workers even fewer protections. In the absense of federal action, state agencies can and must do more.
