DieCember® Release Blog Hop Day 2

December 6, 2025

Happy Diecember everyone. I’m thrilled to be a part of the DieCember Release Blog Hop – Day 2. I’m sure you are getting really inspired by all the great products coming out for this release. Here are a few cards I made using products from the Diecember release.

My first card is featuring the new Fawn Surprise Embossing Folder. This embossing folder makes such a pretty winter scene card. I colored the embossing folder elements with my Olo markers. Remember if you are using markers for your embossing folder, use light pressure so the ink doesn’t bleed outside of the image you are coloring.

By pairing this embossing folder with a simple sentiment from the Making Spirits Bright stamp set, this card was complete.

Image

For my second card I used several products from the release. First I started off by die cutting the Stitching Holly and Berries dies in green and red cardstock. Afterwards I stitched the leaves with gold metallic thread and added some shading to the holly and berries with coordinating ink colors.

Next I die cut out the Eyelet Layer Frames. To add some texture to this piece, I splatted it with red and gold shimmer watercolor paint. This gives the background just a bit of shimmer.

Image

The sentiment on this card is from the new Little Winter Banners. Each banner was die cut from gold metallic cardstock which really pulls everything together.

With this being a blog hop there is TONS of inspiration for you. Also Simon Says Stamp is giving away a $25 coupon to every stop on the hop from your blog comment section. Winners will be posted on the Simon Says Stamp blog on Wednesday the 10th of December. But wait there is more.

Simon Says Stamp And Everything Nice Release

November 6, 2025

Hello everyone. The Simon Says Stamp And Everything Nice release is now available. You might have seen this card over on my Instagram. I used the Simon Says Stamp Beautiful Poinsettia Frame embossing folder with the new Triangle Whirl Trees die cuts.

I started with Simon Says Stamp Schoolhouse Red A2 Fold Scored Cards. After I cut the card in half I ran one panel through my die cutting machine with the new Beautiful Poinsettia Frame embossing folder. Next I ink blended Simon Says Stamp Cranberry Ink to add to the outer design to add some depth the the poinsettias. For added sparkle, I added gold splatter with shimmery gold watercolor.

Image

While the panel was drying, I die cut the Triangle Whirl Trees from the matte gold cardstock. By stacking the trees one behind the other, they fit nicely in the center of my design.

Image

To pull some of the red to the trees, I used Pinkfresh Studio Clear Drops in Scarlet. Oh this really makes the trees look so nice.

Image

I decided to keep this card sentiment free as I wanted the design to stand on it’s own. Remember you don’t always have to use a sentiment on a card. Let the design speak for itself. Hope you enjoyed stopping by today. I’ll see you back here soon with more inspiration. Now go shop the Simon Says Stamp And Everything Nice release. Have fun!

Jenn Shurkus Inspiration Party!

October 1, 2025

Welcome to the Jenn Shurkus Inspiration Party!!  Jenn is celebrating 20 YEARS of blogging and I am so happy she started. Jenn’s been such a inspiration to the craft community and beyond. Her journey, generous heart and love for crafting makes the world a better place.

Image

For the inspiration party, Jenn asked us to pick a card that we loved and recreate it our own way. Challenge was accepted happily! All things Jenn makes sparks inspiration but this card had my heart. The colors and design of this card is awesome. I love the rainbow colors of the background and the adorable top hat snowmen. You can find the card here on Jenn’s blog.

Image

For my card I took inspiration from the snowmen and the colors. I started with stenciling my background with the Concord and 9th Merry Mix stencil pack. I used the snowflake stencil. For my colors I used Simon Says Stamp Punch, Melon, Butter, Celery, Seafoam and Lilac Pawsitively inks.

Jenn Shurkus Inspiration Party

After I finished with the color, I went over the entire stencil with Gina K Designs Sparkle Gel Starlight. This gel is so pretty. While letting the background dry I started to work on my snowmen.

Image

The Spellbinders Dancing Snowman (unfortunately no longer available) was the perfect size for my card. By only using the head of the snowman I was able to get all six on my card panel. By ink blending the scarves and earmuffs I was able to create color consistency with my card. These little snowmen are too cute.

Image

This card needed a simple sentiment. The Concord and 9th Joyful stamp set was perfect. And for a finishing touch, I added a little bit of Tim Holtz Clear Rock Candy on the top of each brim of my hats.

Thanks Jenn for always inspiring this community with your beautiful cards, classes and techniques! Wishing you many, many more years of blogging and crafty.

Winter Greenery Holiday Card

September 22, 2025

Happy Monday everyone. I’m sharing a card using the new Kristina Werner Winter Greenery Bundle. This bundle includes the stamp set, stencil and coordinating dies. It’s such a beautiful bundle makes beautiful cards that can work throughout the holiday season.

Image

For my card today I used traditional holiday colors of greens and reds. I also added in some gray and a touch of sparkle (wish you could see it in real life). My last couple of holidays cards I have made, I’ve keep the colors monochromatic. Today’s card does have a lot of green however the pops of red, gray and white really steps it up.

Image

To create the card I first stamped the background with the image in the Winter Greenery stamp set. Next, I stamped it again on white paper and used the coordinating stencil to color it in. As for the white berries on the card I used the Simon Hurley Astro paste in Frostbite. Once everything was dried, I die cut out the floral image.

Image

I didn’t want all the white showing behind the area that the stencil doesn’t color, so I grabbed a Copic marker close to the color of my cardstock and colored in all the white. I really like how it looks without the white background. To finish off the card, I used a white paint pen to add in a few dots on the background.

I hope I’ve inspired you to create with this new Winter Greenery Bundle for your holiday cards. If you want to see more cards I created using the September 2025 collection from Kristina, you can click here. All the supplies I used on my card are listed below. I do use affiliate links however there is no cost to you to use them.

Have a great day everyone.

Concord and 9th Merry Mix Stencil

September 20, 2025

ImageMorning everyone. Today I’m sharing a card using the Concord and 9th Merry Mix Stencil pack. In this stencil pack there are six different stencils that create a beautiful holiday background.

Concord and 9th Merry Mix Stencil Pack

For my cards today, I used two of the stencils. The leafy greenery was perfect for this Beautiful teal card. It was super easy to stencil on Powder cardstock with Lakefront ink. The tone on tone background is so pretty. For the berries I used Brink ink and the pops of red berries really makes this card stand out. I paired this card with a stamp from the Seasons Greetings stamp set stamped in Poppy ink to give just a different shade of red to my card.

Image

Now my next card was so much fun to make. By using the Nordic-inspired reindeer stencil, I also made a tone on tone card. This time I used Wildberry ink as well as Wildberry cardstock.

Concord and 9th Merry Mix Stencil

First I stenciled the background and then trimmed them down using layering rectangle dies. Next I stamped the FA-LA-LA and the holly jolly and die cut them out as well.

Image

By spreading out the stencil pieces I was able to add a the FA-LA-LA on each one and then place the holly and jolly on the corners. I so LOVE how this card turned out. What do you think? What other color would you like to see this design in. Let me know in the comments.

Have a great Saturday everyone and I’ll see you back here soon.

Happy Thursday everyone. I’m super excited to participate in the C9 Favorite Things IG Hop today and share with you my favorite Concord & 9th product from 2025–the Sweet Stems Bundle. This bundle is super versatile and is such a joy to make and received. The bundle allows you to stretch your mind to create beautiful cards.

I have two cards using the bundle. My first card is using the stencil and dies. Working with one of my favorite colors Brickyard. This red is fabulous with so many color palettes from C9!

My second card is featuring the inner pieces that were left over from the die cut flowers. Remember, save those pieces and make another card with them. I used Brick cardstock for the background which really makes my white flowers pop!

Each card was paired with a simple sentiment. The sentiments are from the Sweet Stems stamp set. As you can see, having the bundle in hand really makes it easy to create beautiful cards.

As part of the hop I'm giving away a $25 gift card to the C9 shop! To enter to win, make sure you do these things:
