More Running Crap

I feel like all I blog about is running. I don't have any cute kids to brag about and I don't go on major vacations and this is my current hobby.

But here is the list of the races I am running this spring.

Canyonlands Half Marathon - March 21st
Salt Lake Ten Miler - April 4th
Salt Lake Marathon April 18th
American River Parkway Half Marathon - May 2nd
Race For The Cure - May 9
Ogden Marathon - May 16th

I didn't realize how close they are to each other until I listed them. All but one are in state so I won't have to spend much on travel. I am exited to go to Sacramento and run American River Parkway Half Marathon. My sister lives out there and I will be staying with her and her cute kids.

My training is going good so far. I haven't had any major injuries other than my feet hurting after running more than 10 miles but I am trying to figure that out.

Bare Feet Running

This morning on our group 10 mile run we saw a man running with bare feet. It was crazy it is the 1st time I have seen the man but my friend that I was running with said she saw him a few weeks ago. I think that is crazy it is so cold outside and there was snow on the trail the past few weeks and a few spots today that had slush.

I Googled Bare Feet running and I found out that he isn't the only one that is running without shoes. I should give it a try it would save me some major $$$ on running shoes and socks. :)

This Year So Far

I started 2009 out by going on a run up and down Emigration Canyon on January 1st in the morning with some friends and my mom. We ended up doing about 6 miles. After the run we had breakfast at Ruth's Dinner. It was fun to get out early in the morning and run up the Canyon. Here are some pictures from the run.

Here I am my friend gave out mardi gras beads we ran with them on to celebrate the new year.

Going down the canyon was nice and it was a beautiful day.

I went to the Jazz game last Monday thanks to Sheena that gave me tickets. It was the first time I have gone to a Jazz game it was great. The weather was really bad that day I am surprised I made it to the game and back home

I had to post this picture of my nephew and his crazy hair that naturally sticks strait up. He is a cute kid and is always happy.
