We are back. It has been a year or more since I last posted. It would be crazy to try and recap the entire time so I will just start from this fall.
L is in 1st grade. I can't believe we have a first grader. She is loving to read and draw. She has made some really good friends in her class this year and loves her teacher. She has become such a great helper around the house.
J is in Preschool and loves it. She is constantly talking about the kids in her class. She is my little constructor. She loves legos and builds all sort of things with them, dogs, horses, dogs dressed up like horses, lady bugs, bridges....today she built her friends out of legos!
O is a tease!!!! He does this look out of the corner of his eye when he does something fun. He likes to chase his sister's around the house and make growling noises. He LOVES his dad. 1st on of our kids to go to dad's side of the bed in the middle of the night! He is so happy.
Pictures are better than words so here are a bunch!
O likes to cuddle up with his sisters when they are watching tv.
The kids would lay down and we would cover them with leaves and they would jump up and surprise us. This is O popping out of the leaves
J the builder. Here is one of many projects!
Happy Halloween
This is the little boy I babysit. They both have discovered how to take their shirts off and this day they decided it was a good time to tickle the ivories!
Earlier in the fall the kids let some balloons go and one got stuck in the neighbors tree. One of my cousins who lives down the street had come to say hello and tried to help get the balloon out. This kids thought it was pretty entertaining.
J is her Halloween Costume. She was a pink spiderman not spiderwoman....spiderman!
This little boy is why she wanted to be spiderman. He is in her church class and preschool. She claims he is her boyfriend but they aren't going to get married because he is going to marry another girl in their class. He was spiderman so she was spiderman! Thankfully we had a friend with a pink outfit.
L was a witch for Halloween
O a lion
Another cuddle session
We had some fun visitors this fall. At the end of October one of our nephews drew out for the deer hunt so Scott's sister and her family came down for the opening day of the hunt. I don't know why I don't have pictures. Probably because men don't take camera's on hunting trips? We were so glad they came. They didn't get a deer but they all had fun.
A few weeks later another of Scott's sisters came down. We took them to the Butler Wash Indian Ruins. A perfect hike for all 9 kids!
Ruin #1
Isn't he cute!~
It is a rare occasion that J just smiles. She is always pulling silly faces
Ruin #2 has a Ladder that you have to climb to get up into it. The top 2 rungs were broken so
we had to hoist all the kids up.
Ruin #2
O and his cousin J found a fun hiding place in one of the ruins!
Ruin #2 Cave
Ruin # 2 the Cave extends back to the left of this picture.
Found a fun tree to walk across
Ruin #3 There is no way to get into this ruin. Pretty amazing to see how these people lived.
Next day we headed to Newspaper Rock and Canyonlands!
We didn't get very far on our hike in Canyonlands. There are so many rocks to climb on.

Canyonlands
There is a neat little hike close to newspaper rock that takes you around the edge of a cliff and some pretty amazing petroglyphs. One of which is a big Mammoth. This kids found this dirt slide on the way back. Once the mom's got to where they were it was a little ominous to see what all the sand (that they were moving around) was holding up.
O loves his winter hat!
Couldn't find him the other day. He had found this box in his sisters room and was coloring inside it. Better than writing on the walls like his is know to do.
O could climb out of his Crib when he was 18 mths. Needless to say this has made bedtime a constant battle of putting him back in bed and him getting out and on and on. We wised up and put a child proof door knob thing on the inside of the door. The first night I went to check on him and he wasn't in his crib. He had climbed out and got in the bed, pulled a blanket over him and got comfy. After 2 days he figured out how to take the child proof door knob thing off. Back to the battle.
These two had a sleep over in our backyard the other day. We had left the gate opened. They stayed in the backyard until Scott got home and scared them off. O didn't like that Scott was so close to them. For several days he would wake up in the middle of the night crying and saying "Deer, Daddy"
J was a wise man in her preschools performance of the nativity
Singing Jingle Bells
Christmas Morning
about 4 hours later
Yes, O knows how to get himself around an Ipod. He got nice and comfy in this laundry basket and colored a few pictures.
From Dec 20th-Dec 29th the flu made it's way through our house. Not the greatest Christmas but we were together and didn't have to worry about gaining any holiday weight.
We were pretty sick of our house by the 29th so we headed south to the river. It was a nice 50 degrees and we broke ice with rocks as it floated down the river. Nice to have fresh air and some sunshine.
My little constructor built a rock castle
Had fun in the mud
and splashing in the water.
Scott is on the volunteer search and rescue here. For the Christmas party we played bingo and 4 lucky winners got 22 riffles. I was one of those! Merry Christmas to me! We took the kids out shooting and they had a good time.
I can't tell you how many times J falls asleep in the funniest ways. My parents live 2 blocks away from us and the other night she fell asleep between houses while eating jam and toast.
We took the kids to the Movie Frozen the other night. It has become one of my favorite Disney Movies.
My favorite part of the movie was listening to the girls laugh. They loved the movie and have been talking about it ever since. They both said they liked that there wasn't a mean person in the movie that was scary.
Here is to a great 2014 and a little more blogging!
