And the verdict is...
We were completely wrong!! All along we were thinking a girl but the ultrasound revealed a very proud little boy!! Scrap the ideas of glitter and jewels and bring on the trains and trucks! Our little guy will be coming in January: 11115 is when his arrival is due. Please send any name or nursery ideas our way because we haven't found anything for either that we really like, let alone love. Good thing we still have a few months :)

Tomorrow!!
As of now, I am 18 wks prego and tomorrow is the day! Besides the day you actually have the baby, the most anticipated day during pregnancy is when you find out if there is a boy or girl coming your way. Our ultrasound is tomorrow! Greg and I are both betting on a girl (even though he is hoping for a boy, he thinks we will have a girl) so we shall see if we are right :)

Life Update
Life gets crazy so quickly! In the past 3 months, Greg's dad has been diagnosed with Stage IV cancer and then turn around and my sister-in-law is diagnosed with breast cancer. In the middle of that, I found out I am pregnant (!!!!) and have been incredibly sick.
Oh, and I was in charge of girls camp for 50 girls. Overwhelming is the understatement of the year.
So, on to happier topics. My sister in law is amazing. Because of her amazing-ness, I chopped my hair.

14 inches were cut off and are now on their way to Locks of Love. Love you Kim!

New Website
Most everyone knows of my love affair with quilting. Recently, it has become more than this as many people have hired me to quilt for them. Because of this, a new website has been made and business cards have been ordered. Please see me over there at: blockpartydesigns.blogspot.com. You can also email me at [email protected]. This is a work in progress so patience is appreciated :). Also, please help me spread the word!

We are in!
We finally were able to move in. It has been chaos but so nice to have a landing zone again. Tonight will be the first time making a full dinner and I am so excited to use my kitchen. I almost don't want to because it is so clean. It is the only room in the house that is fully unboxed and put away and it is kind of intimidating to be honest. The rest of the house is in various stages of disarray but we are enjoying it. Come visit!

Tender Mercies
We just got word that we get to close on our new home today and we are so excited. It has been a very long process but we will finally have a landing-pad once again. Throughout this whole ordeal, we have been amazed at every turn to see the tender mercies that have taken place all around us. We have been very watched over and taken care of and seen so many things happen that shouldn't have happened. Prayers are answered. It has been amazing and now we get to enjoy our new home. Come visit!

Officially Official
We are currently home-less. We signed and closed on our old home yesterday, are completely moved out and are now living in my dad's basement because we have not yet closed on our new house. Our loan got stuck in underwriting with the mortgage company so we might be another week or so before we are in the new one. It hasn't been too bad but has been extremely tiring. By the time we were done last night, Greg and I were exhausted: mentally and physically. It has been quite the process but we have been promoted to the title of sans-residence. Our new address is a PO Box and we are ok with that. It was hard to leave last night. I have lived in that house longer than any other house since I was 7 years old and that one only won by one year. We had some great memories but are excited to start the next chapter. It has been crazy (especially since we had finals for school the same week we were moving out) but we have one major hurdle down and one more to go.

Moving Continued
Everything so far is still in the works with selling our house and buying a new one. We did find one we like in Salem and are under contract. The appraiser is coming this afternoon to look at our old house. We have boxes galore and are keeping our fingers crossed that everything works out. Everyone plan on the weekend of June 25th to have a moving party because we can use all the help we can get. I tried to find a picture of our new house to post here but they took the listing down so you will just have to come visit to see it.
Lucky Annette's husband kept some of the pictures on his phone, so you do get to see it after all...

Moving?
It is official. We sold our house. We put it on KSL and within a couple weeks had an offer we couldn't refuse so now we are moving. We are thinking Salem area because it is a gorgeous area and still very close to where we work. We have to be out by the end of June so every night is packing or house hunting along with 16 credits of school for me for summer semester and Greg finishing his bachelors by July. And working full time. It is a crazy mad house around these parts. Oh, and Greg has a week long scout campout the week we close along with all the other things that come with being the YM pres. Holy. Smokes.

Hello Spring!
My ramblings:
Spring is officially here and I love it! We went snow skiing/boarding at Powder Mountain with Amy's family last week before the resorts closed and came home sunburned. Oh my, it felt wonderful. We were in t-shirts and sunglasses. The only thing better would have been if it were water instead of snow but alas, it was not meant to be. Soon though.
We are done with the final week of classes with finals next week and it will be nice to be done for a week or two before summer classes begin. We are rather excited for the end of classes this go around. I finish my associates next week and Greg finally finishes his bachelors after summer semester. The end is in sight! He has decided to take a year off before doing his masters and I can't blame him one bit for that. It has been a long road. We will be celebrating with a BBQ (everyone is invited) because neither of us want to do the whole graduation ceremony and no one wants to watch it so we will party here instead. I would much rather have a steak hot off the grill than sit in an auditorium for hours listening to something I won't care to hear or remember. Anyone with me?!
Greg is quite deep into scouts now. As the YM pres, he gets to do all sorts of camping, mutual activities, and youth conference. I am the scout widow. He enjoys it though and the boys enjoy him so it is a great fit. They have me as the primary chorister and it is a blast. Primary kids are hysterical and music is a love of mine so it works well.
I just recently finished another quilt that made for a confirmed diagnosis: I am officially a quilting addict. I love it! They are so fun to see such random pieces come together and make something beautiful and useful. Greg has encouraged this with one recent request: he wants a Browning quilt. I love the idea and want to figure out some crazy black minky and applique the Browning symbol on it. The one below is a fun one that went surprisingly fast. I had all these cute ideas to do some fun borders around it but got this far and couldn't believe how big it was so I had to stop there.
Phone pictures are terrible so don't judge them by these pics. I would put a pic of my last one which is grey and pink and so BLASTED CUTE but can't bring myself to with how bad pictures turn out from my phone. You will just have to come visit to see it.
