He's All Grown Up

Image

I dropped Parker off for his first day of Kindergarten today. He was very brave. I was not. :) I just wanted to grab him and run from the building! My baby boy... you're not big enough to be in an elementary school yet! I stood there watching Parker get adjusted to his surroundings and I wanted to cry. I knew he was nervous and this made me all the more frightened for him. I gave him a hug and told him I would come get him at the end. He didn't want me to leave, but I told him parents weren't allowed to be in the classroom and that I would be waiting for him when his class was over. I love you so much Parker and I am so proud of what a big boy you've become!

Pregnancy Brain

Just a little venting...

I was adding one of those pregnancy trackers to the right side of my blog and when it appeared, it said I was 12 weeks and 6 days... wait a minute, that is not possible! I could have sworn I was 14 weeks tomorrow! Oh wait, I just can't count. There's nothing like having to add on another week of pregnancy... :) Chalk one up to pregnancy brain. This just proves that I do need to have a tracker on my blog so that I don't have to rely on my own math skills to get it right.

Although, I thought this one was particularly funny as well.

If all goes as planned, Greg and I will be officially outnumbered toward the end of February!

Sitting by the Pool

We love having a pool in our apartment complex. Parker informed me that he loves to just come out here and lay on the chairs... wow kid... life must be rough for you!

Summer in Atlanta Part 3 (the last of the catch up photos for now)

We just got back from Savannah this weekend and I'll try to post those later this week. I just need to post the last of our pics from these previous weeks!

Stone Mountain: Let's just say that rides are expensive and not that great. The ride to the top of stone mountain was neat (you can also hike it, but we took the lazy way). They have a laser show/fireworks on Saturday nights and that was fun.

Oakland Cemetery: It was really neat to walk around and see so much history in here.

This part of the cemetery was so sad to me... all soldiers from the Civil War. The loss you feel at so much death in war
is almost more than you can take. There were tons more graves of soldiers than what can be seen below.

Famous Golfer... Bobby Jones

Parker was happy to find his name on a headstone... me? not so much... :)

World of Coca-Cola: The exhibits were neat, but the taste-testing was the most fun! Tons of icky flavors and a few good ones! The one I'm trying below is called Pine-nut... made me a little nervous, but it was actually pineapple coconut (aka pina colada). Yum!

Greg's friend (also in the MBA program) is interning at Coca-Cola so we met up with him when we went. Good to see familiar faces. :)

Summer in Atlanta Part 2

Georgia Aquarium: apparently, it's the world's largest aquarium. We sure thought it was fun!

Albino Alligators... weird. :)

This is where Greg works everyday. I have to say, it is a beautiful business park. There are fish, ducks, and turtles that the kids love seeing in the lake.

Atlanta Braves Game: They played the Nationals. It was fun and the kids especially loved doing the Tomahawk Chop... which was like, every 30 seconds. Ha ha!

They have fireworks every Friday night after the game.

Atlanta Zoo: The kids had fun. Devri loved the elephants best. Not the best zoo we've ever been to, but we had a good time.

Lake Lanier: This was a last minute idea on Memorial Day. We were driving around looking for something to do and ended up here. We had our swimsuits packed in the trunk just in case, so it turned out great!

Oh, and FYI... this mud is not friendly to white on swimsuits!!!!

Friends' House: They have a zipline in their backyard! The kids just loved it!
