October 26th- November 25th: Silas is such a happy little boy these days. All that he wants in his day is time to "play cars." He would love nothing more than to spend every waking minute outside in the fresh air, playing with his cozy coupe "red car." He is COMPLETELY THRILLED with the mild weather we have been having, giving him the opportunity to be out in the driveway playing with said car until the sun goes down. I don't remember the last time we made it to Thanksgiving with no snow, but I am equally as thrilled about it.
Food:
Silas continues to be happy to eat almost anything. That being said, the first thing he always eats on the plate is his fruit; raspberries, strawberries, blueberries, blackberries, oranges, peaches, apples, cantaloupe, honeydew, watermelon, cherries, pineapple- wait, pineapple is not on his favorites list, but I think that is it. He will even eat bananas now, the whole thing!
Lodging:
Silas officially has a blocked tube, which causes pain in his right ear. We were able to put a pillow in his crib to try and give him some relief, but he is not sleeping well- up at least once per night. This seems to be the norm in our household these days. We will be having the tube replaced in December at Children's, and are hoping that will be a turning point for sleeping for all of us.
Communication:
Silas is talking more- COUNTING up a storm. He can count to 12, when he really tries, but usually he skips a number or two on the way up. It is actually really adorable, "One, Two, Tree, Four, FIIIVE, Six, Seben, Eight, Ten, Elebben, Twelbe" (he has a hard time with his v's and r's).
Transportation:
He is running more, but mostly he just wants to roll around in the before mentioned cozy coupe.
Entertainment:
Silas is starting to love listening to songs, especially those that have actions or movements to go with them.
Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star, and Itsy Bitsy Spider are some of his favorites. Aunty Erika has said that Silas is often one of the only ones who will sing and dance during story time at the library. He is clearly a little boy after his mamas heart :)

I LOVE when the boys end up in the same outfit for pictures. Silas is in the top photo, Harry is in the bottom photo.

This COSTUME! I went to lunch with my mom and Silas a few days before Halloween, and told her that this would be what I would dress him up as if I had the time to make the walker, and she called my dad and planned what to do to make the walker for us. It is 100% because of grandma and grandpa that Silas was Carl from "Up" for Halloween. 100% worth all the time to make the costume!
