Congratulations in order for Russ & April

Pam posted a comment to my initial welcome message that I think she meant to be a main post, so I'm copying it here.

I just wanted to share in the good news...April Gould, Russell's wife gave birth this last week to a beautiful little girl. I believe her name will be Summer. She is perfect, and Mom is doing quite well. Russell and April are quite proud of their little angel. Big sister Autumn has been quite the helper with her new baby. She loves to check into her nose, ears, and mouth. She is so careful with her little sister and seems quite anxious to teach her how to play right. :)I just had to share the news. We wish them all well as they settle into their new sleepless routine. We love you all!Pam

I also thought I'd post some of our current activities as well.

Bill and I are actively engaged in boy scouts. I'm the Scout Master for his troop. We've got a winter camp happening this coming weekend and it looks like we'll be staying in the snow. Finally a chance to really take advantage of my -20 degree sleeping bag. I think it will be the first time I'll actually be able to zip it up. He's working on getting his Tenderfoot badge. He's simultaneously working on the 2nd Class badge and is hoping to have both completed by the time we go to summer camp at the end of June.

Rachel is also enjoying girl scouts. Right now she is busy selling cookies and even though she wasn't able to start selling when most other troops began, she is still doing really well and has sold over 200 boxes.

Jonathan is also busy with cub scouts. He'll be getting his wolf patch in a week and a half at the Blue and Gold Banquet. He also just got his new Cub Scout Derby Car, so we'll be starting working on that soon. Last year he had a very respectable showing by placing 3rd in his den. That's about the level I'd like to see him achieve again as he can say he won, but we don't have to go and race at the next level. I'm sure he's shooting for first place.

Missing Email Addresses

I used the list of email addresses that John Grover sent out following the reunion to build the list of those who have rights to contribute. However, some are missing as some people who weren't able to attend, didn't have email addresses at the time, or left before John had a chance to collect them. Here's the list of those for whom I don't have email addresses.

Aunt Leila

Aunt Minon
Uncle Emmett
Jim Triplett
Ann (Sorry I don't know her new last name assuming it has changed)
Matt Triplett

Aunt Nancy
Gentry Perkins
Blair Perkins
Lane Perkins
Tommy Perkins

If you know one addresses from those that are missing and they wouldn't mind you passing it along, either post it here or send it to my email and I'll get an invitation out for them to join.

Welcome to the John Russell Grover Family Blog

This morning we headed up to Overton, NV to visit with Grandma, my parents, Uncle Blair, Aunt Leila, Aunt Minon, Aunt Nancy, Ann and her new son. While there, Aunt Leila mentioned that one of her sons in law has a blog he's been posting and how they've enjoyed reading it. Aunt Minon immediately indicated we should have something like that where everyone could post what is happening. I seemed to be the most technologically savvy guy sitting in the room at the time, so naturally, they all looked at me to set something up. So here it is. Nothing fancy, but the price is right.

Now it is up to each of you to post to keep the rest of us up to date.
