1 am

Avery just fell asleep at 1 am. That means I am here at 1:30 am writing this; therefore, the rest of the world will wake up and I, and most likely Avery, will want to sleep an additional 1-2 hours. Anyway, the point of the story is: Avery was in jammies with teeth brushed around 9. She was in her version of bed (a couch, blanket and pillow) by 9:30. She watched a show, then sat quietly for over an hour! She did not run around, I did not play with her, talk to her, let her watch more TV, give her anything! She sat quietly, in her bed for almost 2 hours.  She seemed tired, but what can I do (that is rhetorical)? Finally at almost 11:30, she wanted oatmeal. I told her I was not cooking at midnight, so she chose a pop tart and juice. I know I get hungry again if I stay up too late. Anyway, I can't MAKE someone go to sleep. Insomnia runs in our family. I'm just saying I'm not a 'Oh, whatever she wants is fine,' parent. I try. That is all. Hopefully one day, her clock will straighten itself.  I feel bad for her for HATING sleep so much that she just won't do it!! And I feel bad for me too!!

SOLD

We put our home up for sale June 4th. We got an offer July 23rd. After waiting for an inspection and appraisal, we closed on August 31st!
I am living with Lucy and the girls at my mom's. Justin is living at Darren's (he moved here the week before we moved out), with Cougar. Gunnar and Fire are living in the barn at Grandpa and Grandma's. I miss them a lot!

KINDERGARTENER!

We have a school-aged child!
Miss Hailey started Kindergarten this year!

I put her in a Charter School and she HATES having to wear a uniform, but she survives due to the ability to wear skirts!
On the second day of school, she asked me to call her in sick! She hates sitting still!! She has continued to ask, about 50% of the days!!
She has made a few good friends, just girls. She gets invited to Birthday parties. Her favorite part is Recess and she likes eating lunch the few times she gets to. Her teacher is very nice and organized!

More Time and Grandpa and Grandma's

The girls love going to Grandpa and Grandma's house.
We play with the horses, chickens and dogs, we eat and ride the 4-wheeler and the girls love the wagon. Daddy usually gets put to work by Grandpa too.

Camping ==> Retriever Club Weekend

On Hailey's actual Birthday, we were in Island Park getting ready for the big D/Q and Hunt Test weekend...
That sadly ends up being our only camping trip of each year.

Hailey picked me some wild flowers.

The girls beat up some trees, we rode the 4-wheeler a lot and enjoyed sitting by the fire at night.

 Lucy and Dad ran the Masters just to support the club. She passed!!  :)
