Innocence
This last week I had my grand-daughters with me in the car. Megan asked for music so I put their favorite CD in (Taylor Swift) and they started singing. We have listened to this CD many times before, but on this occasion I noticed a part where she said "Lying on the bed" and Kate immediately said, "lying on the bed". A million things went through my mind. I was waiting for her next reply when she said really a "Lion on the bed". I burst out laughing. The innocence of a child. How sweet! I wished she would always stay so pure.

Today was our grand-daughter Kate's primary program. She did awesome. She sang all the songs and knew her part by heart.
As I sat watching her I was so proud to be her grandmother. Our grand daughters, Kate and Megan, fill our lives with pure joy! ... I remembered that felling when Keith was a child. He brought so much happiness to our home. I was so grateful he was able to send some great times with his grandparents.

My thoughts went back to my parents and how I longed for them to know my grand-daughters. Some day. Sara reminded me that they new our girls before they came and they were told all about us. I agreed, but felt slighted that I wasn't there. I guess I will have to wait till we are all together again.
It's days like this that I really miss my parents and this picture always makes me fill better. They make me smile!!!! Oh how I love and miss them.

Memory Quilts
A couple of months ago my sister asked for my help to make some memory rag quilts out of JaKelles clothing for some of her best friends she would have graduated with this past May.
I have to say that as I cut into each piece of clothing I shed a tear. It was much harder than I had anticipated it would be. I remembered JaKelle as she wore the different tops and her PJ bottoms.
The center square on the yellow and teal side contained her favorite saying: "If this isn't your castle then you're not my prince."
I felt her close as I put these quilts together. I hope these girls will cherrish them and always remember the sweet girl who wore them.
