Wow...Hope I remember how to write a blog post

So tonight, Matt pulled up our blog and we started going through the old posts and remembering all these wonderful memories. Needless to say, I was in tears... and decided the blog is a great way to remember more details than just posting pictures on facebook or instagram.....so lets give this thing another try! While I can't update the whole past year and half...here is our past month. :)

We love Christmas time!

We go to the festival of lights every year with our friends the Penders and Millers!

We try and make new ornaments every year for their own little tree in their room.

Gingerbread men! They love to read the fairy tale.. "Run, run as fast as you can. You can't catch me, I'm the gingerbread man." is their favorite line!

Santa!
Sophie- "I want a baby bottle"
Spencer- "A pet fish"
Shep- "A remote control tractor."

All the kids recited memory verses or sang a song for MeeMee. She loved it! Spencer is saying one of the memory verses he knows.

I will be 28 weeks on Monday. He moves all the time. This pregnancy has been a lot harder than my other ones.. but I think it is just because I am chasing after 3 little ones.

Other News for 2014...
Image
Daddy is teaching Shepherd how to play chess. Shep loves all games and is picking up quickly. He always asks to play me...its because he knows I am the weaker link... little turkey...

While Spencer and Sophie were home sick, Shepherd and I had a date after church to eat.

Matt and I celebrated our 10 year anniversary this year. We spent 9 days in Maine. It was a fabulous trip! I am so blessed with this man!

The boys played soccer again this fall and loved it.

Sophie played soccer for the first time, and did NOT love it...

Other Firsts in 2014...

Image
Sophie had her first stitches...this was a horrible experience. They had to sedate her to do it, while I held her. It is something that I try to forget.
Image
Spencer also had surgery on his adenoids. He was so brave through the entire thing.

The boys loved watching their Daddy work!
Matt added on a deck to the back of our house. It was my mother's day and bday present. He did an amazing job and we love spending time out there!

Image
We still went on lots of road trips this year. Doesn't this picture scream silliness?!?

Can't wait to go back to our favorite place to be...the beach...

Our days are full of playing, laughter, and having fun!(and some screaming and crying but why post about those??) 😉

From Texas to Alabama

Matt and I were in San Antonio this morning and now almost to auburn. This is the longest we have ever driven in one day. We had planned to stop half way, but we made great time and the kids were doing awesome, so we kept going. It's 11:00 and all 3 are asleep and we have 2 hours to go. I am amazed at God's blessings in my life and am so thankful for my family.

Matt and I will celebrate 9 years of marriage on Tuesday. This is just crazy to me. I love this man with my whole heart. He is my best friend. God truly gave me a wonderful blessing when he put Matt in my life!

Turning around right now, i see 3 precious sleeping faces snuggled in their pjs with their blankets and lovies. What a blast we have had driving everywhere these past 2 weeks. I know years from now, I will look back and think about all the great memories we made.
- pulling over on the side of the road to let them go potty... Having the car potty is what made this trip possible!
- hearing shep and spence discuss angry bird, telling eachother good job, watching them pass their iPads back and forth to let the other beat a level for them, hearing them sing, asking me to come sit back in the van, snuggling with my arm as I squeeze between their seats....
- watching Sophie dance and sing to mickey, ask for more snack, watching her throw her lovie and then put her little hands out and call for it like she doesn't know where it is, call for me "hold mommy, hold mommy",
- watching all 3 run around at rest stops and gas stations.. Some people walk their dogs, we walk our kids...
-convincing them that the movie lion king isn't too scary

And so many more... Too tired to think at the moment! We had the best time making memories on he road and while in Texas with deedee!

Tomorrow back to our routine! I can't wait!! :)

Deedee time

We are so blessed to be able to travel with Matt on his trips. Even though three little ones three and under is not ideal for a long car ride, I would rather be WITH Matt than at home withOUT him.

On our last day in Jacksonville, Matt's boss asked him to go to Houston for the whole next week. So we went home for less than 24 hours , did a couple of loads of landudry, repacked, and hopped back in the car.

The kids did awesome for the long drive. Except the multiple bathroom stops it was a pretty easy drive. I was so proud of them. We stopped in mobile to break up the drive and the boys slept for the first time together in a big bed. They slept great!

We have had so fun today at DeeDees! We have played candyland, gone to the park, and swam! It has been a blast!
