I apologize for our long absence on the blog as 2013 has been quite the year for us. On September 19, 2013 we welcomed our son Brody Alexander into the world! He joined us slightly prematurely and we are relieved that he is healthy. I had a complication with my pregnancy that had us worried about his safety and as a result my doctor felt it was the best option for him if we scheduled an induction at the 36 week mark in my pregnancy. We did so and everything went smoothly. He is developing perfectly and besides a little bit of jaundice he is doing well. We are both happy and healthy now and Kevin and I are thankful for that. Brody got to meet all of his grandparents, almost all of his aunts and we are working on meeting the uncles. Uncle Eric who lives in Istanbul, Turkey got to meet him over Skype this past weekend. We are looking forward to introducing him to his great grandmother and great aunts and uncles as soon as we can travel with him.
