Hi, I’m Harry, a freelance web designer interested in static sites, privacy and web performance.

I design and code fast, accessible, content-based websites, mostly using ”vanilla” HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
Here on my personal site, I write about building static websites with Hugo, improving privacy and security online and the tools I use, day to day.
Once a month I curate a newsletter for web designs and developers interested in static sites, web performance, privacy and sustainability.
I’m currently working on Practical Hugo – a course about building resilient websites with Hugo – and laying the foundations of my web dev studio.
Where to go next
Find out what I’m up to right now. Check out some of the things I’ve built. See what books I’ve read. Find out how I built this site. Take a look at my CV. Or read some of the kind testimonials my clients have written about working with me. You’ll find a few more hidden pages over on my slashes page.
Elsewhere on the web, you can find me on Github and Codepen. I do have social media accounts, but I no longer use them. Get in touch if you have any questions or hit the Reply by email button at the end of any post.
Head over to my RSS feeds page to subscribe to the content I publish on this site. Or sign up to my newsletter below, if that’s more your thing.
