New Years Eve 2017

Traditions are traditions and New Years is nothing to mess with.
Bring on the Williams family and as much chocolate as you can find!

They passed the hours with some acrobatic stunts.  I like to call this "the Titanic".

Remi was a big part of our New Year's Festivities!

Brandon sent us a picture from California.  It looked like he managed to have a Happy New Year as well.

Troy found this post on Twitter.  We all thought is was hilarious.

We have loved 2017 and all of the growth, challenges and fun it has brought to our family.
Looking forward to another year with all of the people that I love.

Picking up Remi

I received a call from my Aunt Cheryl on Friday, Dec 29, 2017. She told me that as of 10 AM that morning, Josh had been added to Remi's birth certificate. That was the final step that we had been waiting for so that Remi could come to our home. That night at 5 PM, the girls were able to meet their new baby sister for the first time!

Tears, smiles, giggles and lots of love from these 4 girls.  They had waited and waited for this moment and it was such a special moment for me to watch.  How does a little angel fall from heaven and land in our lap?  So blessed!

We had already made plans to take Nate to dinner that night for his Christmas outing.  We decided we had better stick to it.  Nate was one of the first of our family friends to meet Remi.

Maddie and I convinced Troy, Gracie and Aeva that we should go down to the lights at Temple Square since they would only be lit for a few more days.  They were good sports and agreed to go.  Such a beautiful place to spend our first night together as a family of 6.

I have always loved the reflection pond East of the temple.  The nativity and lights are incredible to see.

Remi is hard to see but I guarantee she is in there somewhere!

We headed up to the Roof so that we could look down on Temple Square.

I know it's a bit late but this little addition was the best Christmas gift any of us could ever ask for!  Welcome to the family Remi.  We love you!

Cousin Day!

The kids wanted a swim day over Christmas Break. We gathered the cousins and headed out!

We followed it up with dinner at Olive Garden.  By then, Ridger, had decided he needed a nap.

And when Ridger needs a nap, he takes a nap.

Funny boy.  So glad we have these fun cousins to hang out with!

Cross-stitch

Maddie asked for "a craft" on her Christmas list. I was happy to oblige...I grew up cross-stitching and thought I should pass on my limited talents.  Hoops, thread, needles and material.  Look at these crafty little women!  Soon they will be sewing all of their own clothes!

Patacones

I had a sudden craving for patacones!  My girls like smashing them more than eating them but I'll take what I can get.  What could be better than deep fried bananas with salt?
