New Year's Eve 2016

The Williams came up for New Year's Eve!  By 10:30, several of the adults were in the "dead position" while kids were going strong at the Chocolate Fountain Station!

We spent some neighborhood time at the Ashton's with rock climbing, games, ice skating and even a few fireworks!

Hansen Ski Day!

We try to pick a day between Christmas and New Year's when we can all go skiing with Grandpa Ken at Powder Mountain. This year we picked an amazing day! The sun was out and we were there to enjoy it!

Fat Cats

A little trip to Fat Cats between Christmas and New Years is something that seems to happen each year.  We met the Carver's there for a little cousin time.

Image

Maddie and Troy had a basketball competition.

The final score appears to be 43 to 45.  Hmmm...who won?  Congrats to Ms. Maddie!  Sorry, Troy.

Aeva stepped up for a game as well.

We call this synchronized shooting.

Finally, a friendly game of bowling.  Once again there appears to be a 2 point loss by someone.  Purely by chance was this even noted.  Good thing the points don't count.  This is always about special family time together.  I'm not even sure why I am posting this pictures since it means nothing.

May we always remember our special Fat Cats time together and how we spent $50 so we could buy 3 Laffy Taffy's with our winnings.  Some traditions must live on!

Missing

Aeva lost a few precious items shortly after Christmas and put up several missing posters around the house in hope of finding them.

First we have, Dotty.  Her tiny Beanie Boo was missing.  I'm happy to report that Dotty was returned safely to her owner the following day and had simply been misplaced.

Item #2 - the Water Lego from her new Dragon is lost.  It was last seen by the Christmas tree but was never found.  Some suspicion that it may have been sucked up by the vacuum.  This will have to be further investigated when the vacuum holding tank is emptied...Troy?

Item #3 - Lego Posion (Potion).  This item has fallen between the seats of the RAV4 and can not be located despite hours of looking.  Anyone know how to remove the back seat in a RAV4?  If not, I have to say that this small plastic piece will be forever lost.

1/3 items recovered with hope for one more...please keep Aeva's lego pieces in your thoughts and prayers!

Tradition #1 - decorate!  Troy is an essential part of this activity.  We would never get it done without him.

This was our first year caroling and we absolutely loved it.  Troy grew up doing this on Christmas Eve and it is one of his fondest memories.  I think it is something that will continue to happen.  Such a sweet spirit as doors were opening and songs and hugs were shared.
