Snow, Snow, And More Snow!

Image At my mom's house in Flagstaff they got about 30 in. of snow. Check out the size of this icicle. Kenadee wanted to eat it like a popsicle.

Image You can see the the mounds of snow towered over Kenadee.

Image They day after Christmas St. Johns got about 6 inches. All the kids enjoyed playing in the snow...and even eating it too. Left to right: Jenna (3), Shayde (3), Kenadee (4).

Image The kids had a blast being pulled behind the 4-wheeler on the tube by Brit. They were sure covered with the snow by the time the ride was over.

Image This is a picture before the ride. We have two thumbs up from her cousin Havannah at this point. When Brit finally stopped Kenadee was covered in snow.

Image And we have two thumbs up after the ride. Kenadee was ready to do it again!

Image Kenadee loved the snow and can't wait to visit her Nana again in Flagstaff to play in it again!

Merry Christmas Haws Family!

Image We had such a wonderful Christmas this year. We had the chance to spend it with Brit's family in St. Johns with all 6 of his siblings and all their kids. Talk about a full house. It is always full of fun and laughs when they all get together.

Image Kenadee woke up and ran into the living room to check her plate of cookies to see if Santa had come. Sure enough he had nibbled on her cookies. She was so excited knowing that he came and he needed a treat during his long and exhausting trip!

Image Here is Kenadee with her stocking. Santa was such a caring Santa that he even brought her a new toothbrush and toothpaste along with all that candy. Thanks Santa!

Image Brit had surprised me this year with a Cannon camera that I always wanted. He wrapped up the camera case and put some money and a card at the bottom. Inside the card it said we can get the camera I always wanted a little later and here is some money where we can start saving for it. Yes I can say I was a little disappointed. And then I opened up the the card and it said, "Look up and smile at your new camera." Here is my surprised reaction. Thanks honey...you are the best!

Image We promised Kenadee once she learned to ride her bike without training wheels that Santa would bring her a new bike. She was so excited to see that Santa didn't forget about her bike.
Christmas 2008 will be a memorable one!

An Early Christmas Gift!!!!

Image
It is official....we are having another GIRL!!!! We are so very excited! Even though we have no grandsons on my side (5 granddaughters) and 10 out of 11 (counting Maria's) are girls on Brit's side I don't feel disappointed one bit. I am just so excited for Kenadee to have a sister. I love having an older sister and I want Kenadee to be able to enjoy that too. When the ultrasound tech told us that she is definitely a girl Kenadee said, "See mom I knew it, I knew she was a girl! I am so excited!" The tech even said this is a very active baby. The baby is right where she needs to be in growth and everything looks perfect! That is the best news of all! We make such cute girls anyway. Why change it up when we have a good thing going right? Merry Christmas to us!

The Little Ballerina's Dance Recital

Image Kenadee had her first dance recital for her ballet class. I really didn't think 4 year olds could learn a dance to a song but I was wrong. I didn't know what to expect but I was pleasantly surprised. They all did very well.

Image Here is Kenadee striking a" ballerina" pose for the camera.

Image Kenadee is far left, look at that pose arms perfectly straight up. She is a natural! (I am not a proud mother or anything :)

Image Here is the 2 classes together (the 3-4 year class & the 4-5 year old class). Kenadee was in the older class even though this was her first time taking ballet. Kenadee is at the bottom right of the picture. She had so much fun taking ballet this year and she looks forward to the new class starting in January.

Snow in Arizona?

Image Believe it or not we got about 4 inches of snow in Kingman, AZ. When Kenadee got home from school off went the tennis shoes and on went the snowboots, snowpants, gloves, scarf, and hat.

Image Snow boots with rubber soles...$10.

Image Insulated snowflake mittens...$7.

Image Red heart pattern coat...$30.

Image A day full 0f playing, jumping, snowball making, snowball eating ....PRICELESS!

Preschool Christmas Program

Image Kenadee had her preschool Christmas program recently. She attends a Christian preschool so they were allowed to center the program on the the Savior and His birth. It was so cute to see all the kids dressed up as Mary, Joseph, angels, shepards, the 3 kings, the star, animals, and carolers.

Image Here is Kenadee and Conrad who is in her class. Kenadee and Conrad were both carolers in the program. She did such a good job because she knew all of the words to the songs. They even sang some silly songs like, "God made the animals a lot like me".

ImageKenadee was quite the performer who kept blowing kisses to the crowd. Even though she wasn't Mary she got a lot of attention from the audience.

Nutcracker Night Out!

Image We are so lucky to have such good friends here in Kingman. Often we get together and do a girls night out and we had the chance to involve our little girls with this one. We had the opportunity to attend the Nutcracker in Boulder City, NV. When we got our tickets we forgot that Nevada was an hour behind us. So the show didn't start until 8 p.m. Arizona time. Do you think any of these little girls fell asleep during the performance...not one of them. They were all having the time of their lives!

Image After the show they allowed the audience to take pictures with the cast. Here are all the girls with the star of the cast "Clair". It was so funny because all of these girls take ballet and they were mesmerized by all the ballerinas. Kenadee kept saying, "Mom these are real ballerinas". We had a hard time getting the girls look at the camera when we were trying to take their picture because they kept starring at the ballerinas.

Image Here is the whole group the moms and the little ballerinas!

Image After the show the cast members got bouquets of flowers. And when we were on stage one of the ballerinas gave each of the girls one of her flowers. They were so excited about that!

Image Here are all the girls giving the star a group hug.

Image Here are more of the cast members: The Egyptian, The Cat, and The Snow Princesses.

Image Here are the girls with the Cat Princess. Kenadee told me, "Mom when I get bigger I want to be a real ballerina." They all had such a fun time and got to see "REAL Ballerina Princesses." This will be a night all of these girls will treasure.

Ward Christmas Party

Image Here we all were at the ward Christmas party. Everyone was asked to dress up in the time of Christ. It was fun to see what everyone came up with for a costume. Here is ours.

Image Brit and I were asked to take part in the nativity as Mary and Joseph. My belly didn't get any smaller though after the delivery of Jesus!

Image Here is Kenadee holding the baby Jesus. Isn't she cute, I sure think so! I even made her costume...not bad huh?

Broken Training Wheel Leads To Victory!

Image Well she did it. Kenadee learned to ride her bike without training wheels. We were outside hanging up Christmas lights on the house and she was riding her bike. While she was going up the curb of the sidewalk she broke one side of her training wheels. Brit has been encouraging her to learn to ride without them, but she was a little scared. This was the opportunity Brit was looking for. He told her the wheel couldn't be fixed and she needed to ride without the training wheels. They started practicing right then and within 5 minutes she was going by herself.

Image Here she is all smiles, riding without training wheels!

ImageOf course we do have to mention that as long as she was going straight she was good to go, but this picture shows what happened when she would try to turn. She had quite a few falls, but she kept getting right back up and started riding again.

Image She was so proud of herself, and we were too. Way to go Kenadee!

Magical Christmas Train Ride!

Image We had the chance to go on the Polar Express train ride in Williams. Kenadee had the best of time and she even made a new friend Hannah. We sat next to a family who had a daughter that Kenadee made an instant friendship with. She even sat by her during the ride. Check out her new princess pajamas...yes, she picked them out herself!

Image Here is Hannah and Kenadee following along with the Polar Express book while it was read outloud.

Image Kenadee enjoying her cookie and story time. We were even lucky enough to have hot chocolate just like the book!

Image Now isn't this face just priceless! This was her expression when she saw Santa Clause who came on the train, she was so excited!

Image Here is Santa giving the girls their Christmas bells. It was a reminder to keep believing! Of course she had to ring the bell the whole hour and a half drive back home. When we decorated our Christmas tree Kenadee wanted to hang the bell on the tree. This girl believes!

Image Here are the girls ooing and aweing at the lights when the train made it to the NorthPole! When Kenadee saw Santa's workshop at the "northpole" she said she wanted to see all the toys for other boys and girls, but she didn't want to see hers because she wants it to be a surprise for Christmas Day. The Polar Express ride was a magical night and a night Kenadee will always remember.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Image Once Thanksgiving dinner was over the clothes and shoes came off and into the ballerina outfit. No wasting any time! Kenadee has been in a ballet class and just loves it. We have a hard time getting her to sit down and eat her dinner sometimes because she wants to get down and practice her ballet moves. I love our little ballerina, isn't she cute!
Image Here is just part of the family minus about 20 cousins. We had a great time in Flagstaff spending Thanksgiving at my mom's house. It was great to see my family. We sure missed Reagan and her family...maybe next year right sis!

Image Here is Timaree, Megan, Brook, and Britney signing the gratitude table cloth. We started a new family tradition this year where we signed a table cloth with the things we are thankful for this year and we will sign it year after year. It will be a great reminder of what you are grateful for in previous years.

Image Here is my mom's family from left to right: Lori, Gary, Grandma, Grandpa, Mom, Dana, and Jody. She had all of her siblings there, it was great to see them all together!

Image Here's the cousins...Brook, Britney, and me. We always have such a fun time when we all get together! Making dinner, stuffing our faces, being with family, laughing, and playing games...isn't that what Thanksgiving is all about? Thanksgiving 2008 was a success!
