Night At Bethlehem

Image
Our ward's Christmas party was incredible this year.  They had the theme, "Night at Bethlehem".  All the food was from Christ's time.  We had a full chicken, oranges, nuts, olives, flat bread, and water from the well.  We brought blankets to sit on and were all dressed in apparel during this same time period.

 This is one cute shephard!

They had a market where you walked around getting your dinner.
Image
They even had Roman soldiers monitoring all the people.  They were very intimidating.

It was really incredible all the time and energy that went into this whole set up.  We absolutely loved it and felt the spirit.

They even had live animal right at the entrance to the church.  The girls had a great time petting the animals.

I had to throw this picture in here.  We had a fun FHE telling the story of Palm Sunday.  The kids had a great time taking part of the story telling.  And dad did a great job being the colt.

Our 1st Garden

Image
We planted our first garden this year.  We made it a raised bed garden where we had enough room to work on either side without stepping into the garden.  In the beginning we were fighting off birds so Brit constructed these piped arches and we put netting across them to keep the birds out.  It worked great!
Image
The kids loved being little helpers, especially with the watering and picking the fruits and vegetables.
Image
One of my favorite things was just picking something right from the garden, wash the dirt off from the hose, and eating it right there.  The kids loved it too.
Image
We planted tomatoes, cilantro, radishes, beets, bell peppers, 3 different types of chilies, watermelon, cantaloupe, pumpkin, corn, snap peas, green beans, green onions, cucumbers, Armenian cucumbers, carrots, lettuce, broccoli, squash, and zucchini.

Soccer Season

Image
The girls started soccer again.  This is Brylee's 2nd season and Kenadee's 3rd.  Brylee is the only girls on her team.  She definitely keeps up with all the boys on her team.

Kenadee is in the Youth 12 league since she turned 10 right before the cut off. She is very small compared to the other girls on her team.  But watch out for her...dynamite comes in small packages!  She is the biggest hustler on her team.  We are now 4 games into the season and only 4 girls have scored goals and Kenadee is one of them.  So proud of my girls!

Natalee Turns 3!!!

ImageImage
I can't believe my baby turned 3!  She is our special girl.  She has grown so much in the last year.  She is talking a lot more and runs all around our property chasing after her big sisters.  Even though she can't ride a bike without training wheels yet she is pushes a bike around following her sisters on their bikes.  I love this little girls so much!  For her birthday she got cards for her Grandmas and Grandpas.
Image
We had Nana and Grandpa come to help us celebrate her birthday.  We had a BBQ and then she got to open her presents.
Image
She was so excited to finally get another stroller for her babies.  She got a hand-me-down stroller from her sisters that one of the wheels kept falling off.  So she got a brand new one and she was very excited!

Her Nana and Grandpa got her a brand new bike! She was so happy and would get upset if one of her sisters tried to ride it.
Image
It wouldn't be a "real" birthday party without cake and ice cream.  And daddy was so nice that he made his homemade mint Oreo cookie ice cream.  Thanks daddy!

I got this picture right after she tried to touch one of the flames from the candle.  It scare her a bit.
Image
 Blowing out the candles!
Image
She had to test taste it with one lick of her fingers.
Image
And she liked it, scooping it with all her fingers.

Image
She is loved by her sisters!
Image
Thanks for coming to help us celebrate Nana and Grandpa!

We love our sweet baby girl!  Happy birthday our precious daughter.  Can't wait to watch you grow and learn from this life.  You are our spit fire and are so glad you are ours!

Brylee had Spirit week at her school and got to dress up as a super hero.  She has been planning this outfit for a few weeks, she was super excited!

We thought we would do something fun when it was Brylee's turn to bring snacks for her kindergarten class.  We made these cute robots with pudding cups, juice boxes, pretzel sticks, and raisins.  Brylee said her kids absolutely loved them and were excited when the teacher pulled them out of the box when it was snack time.  Lets just say she was the "coolest" kid in her class that day!
Image
We've have had some great rain here in Prescott Valley.  This is our favorite spot to sit and watch the rain.
Image
Girls after playing in the rain! Patches loved it too!
Image
This little monkey gets into everything and stands on anything to get to it.  Here she is standing on her little bike to reach the cereal on the counter.
Image
I've been learning how to can.  I made and canned some raspberry and pear jam.  It is delicious and the kids think so too!
Image
We've been making a lot of zucchini bread since we have been getting a lot of zucchini from the garden.  This is the kids favorite way to eat the zucchini!

I found this picture on Brit's phone.  These girls love their daddy!
