Jake's Surgery

After the Surgery (I know the pictures aren't in Chronological order...so sue me). You can tell Jake is a little drugged up.

No they didn't break his arms during the surger, those are stints that keep his arms straight so that he can't run his face.

Poor kid had an IV, heart and oxygen monitors hook up to his little feet. He was trying to take them out all of the time.

He had to stay overnight because he wasn't eating and he had a 103 fever. Jamie was such a trooper through the whole thing. After the surgery Jake just wanted her and no one else. Jamie stayed the night in the hospital with him. Needless to say she was exhausted. She took of him the whole night...oh, and I failed to mention that she is pregnant with our third child. My wife is the bomb!

Poor kid isn't at all aware of the pain that he will be in after the surgery.

An update

...well i'm definitely getting a good work out...(side note: After this picture was taken Hayden puked on the floor)

Matt is training for his upcoming Iron Man. Here he is preparing one of his cleansing "meals." Yes mom, i could hardly believe it myself- he really did drink that green thing

I did not even think of checking the sizes of the costumes before it was too late...i love hand me downs

This is like the definition of Hayden. You will never find him with out his little posse of animals...meal time for all!!

I am sooo lucky... I put Jake in his chair to eat and sat down to read for a few minutes. Next thing i know i woke up to Jake thinking he was the coolest kid on the block!...yes he is our little climber and yes i buckle him down now

Funny Story..

(this is Matt writing)....Jamie and I were playing catch with a Tennis ball in the living room. I threw one that might of bounced off the wall and hit Jamie in the back. Jamie pretended like she was hurt...Hayden, being the kind thoughtful boy that he is, ran over to his mom to ask what was wrong. She said that daddy threw the ball at me. Hayden ran over and fell on my head (I was laying on the ground) he got me in a headlock and and said...daddy time out alright. It made Jamie and I laugh. A really neat part of the story for me is....our little boy Hayden never sticks up for himself. If another child takes a toy, he just lets them have the toy or cries. I can remember specific instances where he has stood up for everyone of his family members (Jamie, Jake and myself). He is one of the most caring little boys that you can imagine.
