What We Did {August}

August is officially the busiest month of the year at our house.

We have:
Coleman's birthday,
Brett's birthday,
Brett and my anniversary,
and my birthday.
Not to mention two uncles' birthdays, several extended family birthdays
and the usual rush to squeeze everything fun in
before school starts again.

Phew.

Beyond all that,
we did this:

Played at an indoor trampoline park.
Such a blast.
I have a feeling we will be back come winter time
to burn off some of that cabin fever craziness.

Let Coleman open his present from us on his actual birthday.

Macy's sweet little birthday note to Coleman.

Tried finger painting outdoors.
Fantastic fun.
And clean up was so easy.
Just filled up the pool and let them splash away.
I may never allow paint inside again.

Played at the NSL splash pad.

Macy is more into posing than playing these days.

Had some fun at the Davis County Fair,

attended the Brigham City Temple
open house,

and even managed to squeeze in a visit
to feed the ducks on base.

It's A Party!

Sure, Coleman's birthday was on the 4th.
And yes, it is now the 18th.
But here we are, celebrating the big #2!

Bubbies is really into trains,
so a choo-choo cake seemed appropriate.

He makes a pretty cute 2 year old,
don't you think?

There were some mixed emotions during the Happy Birthday singing.

Luckily, Sis Sis was there to offer some support.

After some coaching from Uncle Michael,
Coleman finally dug in.

Brett bought these back from his trip to San Antonio.

Super entertaining and hilarious
at the same time.

It's Been Seven Years

Image
I never know what to write in my anniversary posts.
I'm not too much into the over-the-top
"ohmygoshilovemyhusband" posts
and I'm pretty sure I can't say that our
relationship is perfect.

But,
I do love Brett.
We're kinda perfect for each other.
We argue.
We fight.
I roll my eyes at him way more than I should.
But we also
laugh together...a lot,
rarely act our age,
and know that we can get through anything together.

Brett never reads our blog,
so next time you see him,
tell him I said Happy Anniversary.
