And then, to Boise

As if Christmas morning and the days leading
up to it weren't eventful enough,
after the kids had their fill of the snow
we loaded up the van and headed to Boise
for even more family time.

This was my grandma and grandpa's first time
seeing Quincy.  These pictures are my favorite!

Grandma and Grandpa have a pool too,
which we were sure to take full advantage of.

Perfect way to end the Christmas holiday if you ask me.

It's Christmas time!

Oh, I love, love, love Christmas time.
There is nothing better than making memories with family.

We had an early Christmas sleepover at Sarah and Tory's,
complete with treat making and gingerbread house decorating.

Christmas Eve was spent at the Carters.
The night started off with the white elephant gift exchange.
We had some good ones this year!

Breanne ended up with a live fish,

Image
while Austin got a mullet headband that looked
all too natural on him.

These girlies love being cousins!

This group gets bigger and bigger every year!

Christmas morning brought lots of happy smiles.

Little Q's first Christmas!

And, as if Christmas couldn't get any better,
it started snowing shortly after we finished opening presents.
The kids were thrilled!

Blessing Day

Sweet Quincy girl was blessed today.

Neat story about her dress:
Somewhere in the process of my mom's move back to Utah
we unearthed the dress that both Sarah and I wore
for our Catholic baptisms.
My mom made it, using some of the leftover
fabric from her wedding dress.
I love that Quincy was able to be blessed in something
with a history.
I only wish I would have had it for Macy's blessing!

What a gift to have an afternoon surrounded
by our family and friends.
The love and support we feel from them fills my heart with gratitude
on a daily basis.

What We Did {November}

Ever have those months where you feel like
you're running around like a crazy person,
but have absolutely nothing to show for it?

Enter, this November.

I know we were doing all sorts of stuff,
but only have a few pictures of the entire month.

Image
We did manage to get our first "family of 5" photo though!

Image
Quincy girl spent lots of time sleeping...during the night.
The night...not so much.

Gratefully, I did get a few pictures of us
setting up the Christmas tree too.

Hopefully I'll be more on the ball next month!

Boo to You

It's that time again!
Happy Halloween from...

ImageImage
Anna from Frozen,

ImageImage
The Incredible Hulk,

Image Image
and Olaf from Frozen.

Image
(Macy may or may not have had a major influence
on Quincy's costume choice.)

Before heading out,
Brett decided to introduce our children to
the Halloween classic,
Michael Jackson's Thriller.

ImageImageImage
Coleman wasn't quite sure what to think.

Image
Luckily, our cousins showed up shortly after,
and that, along with

Image
CANDY (!!!)
cheered him right up.

Oh, the power of sugar.

What We Did {October}

 Phew!
A new baby...
what did we do this month?

Image
We gave little Q her first bath.

Image
Coleman spent almost an hour digging
a hole to sit in.
Whatever floats your boat, buddy!

Image
We went to the zoo,

Image
had an early Halloween party at Grandma Sherri's,

Image
and painted pumpkins.
(Coleman wanted his to be a ninja turtle.)

Image
Miss Macy proved to be quite the gardener and
harvested a bunch of veggies from our garden.

Image
Both siblings feel it's their personal job to watch over Baby Quincy.
Coleman loves to read his ninja turtle book to her,

Image
while Macy has the sweetest conversations with her.

Talk about making my momma heart want to burst!
