Brett and I took a little trip this week.
To Seattle. By ourselves.
A babymoon
(even though I despise that word for some reason),
if you will.
It. Was. Fantastic.
Although, just a fair warning,
pregnancy fat face has completely taken over my life,
and it shows in these pictures.
Plus, I'm not used to having my picture taken by myself,
and have developed posing issues.
Don't worry, you'll see.
So, why Seattle?
A. Because there was no way I was going anywhere requiring me
to put a swimsuit on.
(In my current condition...yikes!)
B. Because there just so happened to be a baseball game
scheduled between my first favorite team,
the New York Yankees,
and my second favorite team,
the Seattle Mariners.
I was just a little excited.
Plus, who could pass up a chance
to see Derek Jeter play one more time?
(That $700 telephoto lens I've been eyeing for the past
few years would have really been useful.
Promise that's him.)
I could have gone home after the game a happy woman,
but since we did drive 13-ish hours,
we figured we ought to stay and experience a little more Seattle.
Pike Place Market, for example.
The Space Needle.
and the EMP museum.
Other highlights of our trip included:
Spending some time in Olympia with my Uncle Mike and Auntie Barb.
Eating dinner with my Uncle Kevin and Aunt Jenette.
Getting to stay and visit with my grandparents in Boise.
