What We Did {July}

Our summer month review posts are funny.
We're always going,
but don't have many pictures to show for it.

But here are at least a few for the month.

We finally got to meet Baby Brace.
He is home and doing great.
We are loving having two nephews to love up...
it makes it a little easier to wait for little Miss Quincy.

Even though we're busy,
summer days are long, and sometimes
we need some new activities to pass the time.
Here we made ice cubes with baking soda,
then squirted them with vinegar.
These guys loved watching them fizz!

Austin and Devre had all the Carters over
for a swim party.

So much fun!

Camping at Bear Lake

Three day weekends and gorgeous weather
practically beg for camping trips.
Since our go-to camp site in Morgan was unavailable,
we decided to give Bear Lake a go.

It was perfect.

In addition to the usual camping activities:
cooking outside, finding bugs and four wheeling,
we also took a trip down to the lake.

It was a little busy...

but we still had a fantastic time.

We even managed to get back in time to make s'mores that night.

Camping success if you ask me.

4th of July

It's that time of year again!
A chance for us to celebrate our great country.

The kids decorated their bikes
and rode in Centerville's bike parade.

It was a little crowded,
but the Pace bars at the end made it totally worth it.

In an attempt to beat the heat,
we decided to head back to Centerville
the next morning for their parade,
which started 2 hours earlier than Kaysville's.
Image
It was still super hot.
(Said the overheated pregnant lady.
The kids didn't seem to be bothered by it.)

Macy designed her pedicure and commissioned
Grandma Sherri to paint them for her.

No noise reducing headphones for Coleman this year!

So grateful for all the men and women who
have done and do so much for our country!

And no,
we didn't make it to the fireworks.
Brett was out of town,
and I just did not have it in me this year.
The promise of hitting up the 24th of July ones
seemed to appease the kids.
Phew.
