Ok, So I know I've fallen a bit behind on this blog...but if you only knew half of what has been consuming my time the last almost two months..between prepping our house to be sold, getting an offer, looking for new houses...deciding to build...finding an apartment and a moving company with storage...and starting to pack in addition to working, keeping a three year old busy, and spending time with my husband...there just hasn't been enough hours in the day to blog.
So good news is I'm back in action for the moment...the next five weeks will continue to be busy but I will do my best on keeping you up to date with the events as they unfold...and then go back in time and show you what we did Christmas through now.

Shopping Like Mommy...
A few weeks ago I was doing some laundry and went to see what Sophie was doing. This is what I found...She said "I shopping like you Mommy" it made me smile and laugh to myself...she's got her little purse and her sunglasses....note I do not shop in my jammies :)
Last Nice Fall Day
A few weeks ago one afternoon when it was reasonably warm we spent time in the driveway with chalk. A lot of her drawing are starting to look like objects we can recognize.
This is me..Sophie traced me.
This one here is a ghost...
This is her pumpkin and is one of my favorite...
She also spent some time coloring on rocks with her chalk
Then we walked over to our little park with our rake and raked up some leaves.
She had a blast jumping in them...
And throwing them in the air...
And here is her typical pose when she is being a bit bossy...can't help but post it.
Once..Twice...Three Times
To the zoo this past month and half. Since we have a zoo membership and a three year old that has a short attention span. We go to the zoo and see small part of it each time..
The first visit was on Sophie's birthday. Since we had gone all summer without seeing the stingrays which is the newest exhibit at the zoo we decided...no line..equals lets do this now.
There is a huge tank with probably close to twenty stingray varying in size.
You can stick two fingers in to touch. Sophie liked playing in the water, but once they would get close she'd pull her hand out. I however, braved the stingray...they are very very slimy little creatures but really cool.
Another exhibit which usually isn't there were the new baby tigers that were born the beginning of October. Sophie loved these little guys even though they were sleeping the majority of the time.
There's nothing like a ride on a baby rhino...
The next trip to the zoo was a few weeks ago since the weather was so nice.
We spent the majority of this trip climbing the big play set they have there...
She thinks she's big stuff cause she can climb with the big kids now :)
At the bottom of the slide she decided to smile nice for Daddy.
The third visit was last weekend. Probably the last warm weekend of the year.
The Penguins were a little more active...still none swimming though.
We spent a lot of time watching the monkeys and then we found this big Gorilla and we had to have a picture with him..
Lastly we spent time at the Conservation House climbing on the words...learning about recycling...and playing a game.
S is for Sophie and for Stephanie :)
There weren't any B's or D's so we just went with it.

Birthdays with the Beerys
This year we celebrated both Bob and Sophie's birthdays together with the Beery side of the household.
When we got there Sophie and Grandma played at her little table with the little people that were mine and Uncle Michael's when we were little.
While Grandma was making lunch she snuggled in with Papaw.
After lunch we opened presents...
Ohhh..what are these?
Oh thank you Papaw...
I love my gifts Mamaw...
Oh and she also got a t-ball set which we had to try out even though it was pretty chilly outside.
Papaw gave her some instructions on how to stand and hold the bat...
Then he took at turn.
"It's my turn Papaw"
This kid is a natural born softball player...
We were outside 30 minutes and I bet she hit the ball at least 40 times...she had a blast and was cold so now we'll practice in the basement this winter.
Then we went in and Daddy opened his present...
After that we had some cake...

Trick or Treat
This year we did trick or treat twice and with two different costumes.
The first round was at Buehlers our local grocery store where each department hands out special goodies.
We got a cookie in the bakery
Here is the produce department were we got an apple....
And someone wanted to eat the apple right away.
The Meat Department had balls...not sure how that coincides...but whatever.
The Dairy Department had string cheese, the Floral Department had a balloon, and lastly where the restaurant is we got a free kids meal.
Here's our little Jessie the cowgirl.
She loved it so much I even got monkey kisses...
Daddy took her up to a few doors....
Then Mommy took her up to a few doors...
We covered about ten hours and then it started raining...so Daddy carried Sophie with the umbrella and I put my hood up and carried the loot.
