The Anderson Family Macdorkel Nerdfest

Image
After sitting in the living room for awhile I began to smell some major nerdage. I would like to thank my family for letting me pull them away from their Warcraft and solitaire games for this quick shot.

Desert Wonderland

ImageBack home is freezing, so Tanner and I decided to head down south to thaw out for a week. Ahhhh... no snow. It feels like Christmas.

ImageThis picture is for all our peeps back home. Flowers during Christmas... it's happening!!

ImageThe nice weather allows Tanner to brush up on his tennis skills. Liam loves to watch his dad.

Image
The form and intensity of this shot leaves me breathless. This hairy face just asks to be kissed.

Ode to My Boys

Image
This year Tanner surpised me with tickets to see both the Tabernacle Choir's Christmas Concert, and the First Presidency's Devotional at Temple Square. We attended the devotional last week where the high seats (and excitement to be there) caused me to be little sick... nonetheless we were still able to have a great time. We had fun listening to a bell chorus and showing Liam all the lights.

Ever since I've known my sweety, he has come up with thoughtful ideas and surprises to make me smile. I am grateful to have such a wonderful family. I love my boys so much.

Eye-Scream

ImageI scream, you scream, we all scream for Liam-cream! After much blood, sweat, and tears we decided to make Liam into a homemade kid's dream come true.

ImageWe had fun dressing Liam up and parading him around. We can only torture him for so long!
Image
ImageYou can tell Liam loved Halloween this year! He was actually a great sport and semed to enjoy parading around in his funny costume. Care took him to Main Street where the businesses opened their shop for trick-or-treaters. It was fun to see everyone's reaction... you can imagine how excited a kid would get to see a life-size ice-cream cone! I wonder what he'll be next year...

The Fishinbothams

Image
Dad caught a couple of pretty Rainbow Trout this weekend. Interestingly enough, this river is full of 4-5 feet long sturgeon.

Image
It reminded Dad of the beautiful catch he had 3 years ago; the one that put up a big fight and almost got away. Now that prize is there for him to admire everyday.

Image
Even Lil' Liam had a few bites.

One Tired Kiddo

Being a kid is tough work- especially when you are as cute and sweet as Liam is. Tan and I often find our little buddy fall asleep in some pretty funny ways. Here are a few of his latest...

Fall, leaves, fall!

This weekend Tanner's parents made a visit to see us. We had a great weekend and found there were a few things that made our time together a great one:

1. Raining weather on both Friday and Saturday and then beautiful weather on Sunday (when everyone goes home)
2. Hiking in the woods where we found some beautiful fall leaves and a couple of moose!
3. Teasing Carrie every few minutes after spotting the moose that they would eat her.

Mom and I also went garage saling where we found tons of treasures. Mom loves this time of year and after this weekend I can see why:

These pictures are each a week apart. It is the place where we hiked and saw the moose. We love visiting that place...we're gonna miss all those leaves.

I Feed My Kid Cream

Image
As some of you devoted blog readers may recall, I made a claim that I feed Liam some hearty milk. Here are two bottles of breastmilk- one from my friend, and the other from me. They were left in the fridge a few hours so you can see the cream that has gathered on top. Liam is now almost 18 pounds... any guesses which one is from me?

Liam's Favorite Past-time

Image There are a few things Liam loves to do. Sticking his chubby fingers in his mouth and acting cute is one of them.

ImageHe also loves to stick out his tongue.

Image

Combine sticking out his tongue with swinging and you really have a winning combo!

Image

Liam also loves hanging out with his best bud Elliot. He always tries to make the best out of his not-so-favorite game of doctor. Sigh... In a couple of months (and maybe even by tomorrow) they will be but favorite past-times.

Holy Hot!!!

Image That's what you get when you combine a wedding with the hottest day of the year. The south had me sweating bullets down my face- something I had never felt before without some kind of physical work-out.

Image Even my nephew Seth was found chugging one of the last bottled water in desperation to cool off.

Image

Liam spent time with his two cousins.

ImageHe brought his chubbs to the wedding too.

Family Vacation 2006

Image
In picture: Care Bear, Mama Bear, Sasha, Big Mama, and Superman.

Image
This was my favorite part of the trip. I insisted that we keep re-shooting until the lighting was perfect.

Image
If you look closely, you can see Liam riding the top of that gyser.

Image
Of all the green pastures, glistening and flowing rivers, rocky tops, and roaring, towering falls, Carrie' s beautiful eyes were my favorite attraction in Yellowstone.

Image
Because we focused most of our efforts on keeping Liam from those goring buffalo, the Sun God had a chance to sneak up behind us and slap a big faceburn on this boy.

Summer Times (An Update)

Summer is our favorite time of the year. And why wouldn't it be? The weather's great, there's much to do, and new happenings and exciting news occur every week (at least at our house it does). Here are some pictures and updates of our summer happenings thus far.

Image Tanner, Liam, and I spent some time hiking in Park City. We had a great time seeing all our family at the reunion my grandparents threw. Not pictured are my blistery, dirty feet that happened as a result of hiking the woods in flip flops. Note: bring shoes on every trip.

ImageMy sister Mary and her fiance Rob decide to tie the knot (yeah!!). Here they are standing by the lot they plan to buy for their new house. They get married July 28th.

ImageNot so happy Liam gets blessed. It was snowing that day-Yeeesh!

Image

Tanner's Dad retires this year after 30+ years of work and service with the United States Forest Service. We love you Dad!

Image

My brother Adam and his family start Law school. Their son Michael was also born this summer!

Image

William Samuel Grimshaw (My twin sister's kid) is born June 4th. Now Liam has two cousins that are only a couple of months older and younger than him. Dani, who is 2, loves to check on her younger brother. "He's still sleeping," she says.

Image

July 4th 1969- I mean 2006. Liam and Hana refuse to be with the norm as they sport their groovy looks.

Image

Not really a summer picture, but cute nonetheless.

All the more to enjoy: Liam before & after

Liam two months ago versus Liam today: What a chunk! When it comes to his eats, he doesn't mess around. Liam loves nursing time as you can well see. He now weighs in around 13 lbs! That's almost twice his newborn weight. I pumped a bottle the other day and stuck it in the fridge. The next day I took the bottle out and noticed something... a nice one inch thick layer of cream sitting on top! Hey, we don't mind, it's all the more Liam to enjoy.

Happy Smother's Day

Image Carrie has taken the liberty to invent a new holiday, wherein this boy's cheeks are smothered in mother's kisses.

ImageLiam insisted on posing for this one for all his peeps.
