This is the first day of the rest of your life.

Summer is here!

We went on vacation just in time to get back for SUMMER! Fort Morgan was a wonderful trip for us and the kids. It was nice to get away. As days go by, Ben and Jonna give me little reminders of how "big" they are. Jonna will be three and Ben will be 5 in July! Already?! Jonna she is one beautiful stubborm little miss or should I say "mess". She reminds me A LOT of me. And I mean a lot. She definately acts like the younger sibling because she wants everything her way. And really cares less what anyone thinks of her. She has mad finger snappin dance skills. She usually hears the beat of the music before everyone else does. We go to Church every Sunday, and if Jake isn't there, then it is me and the kids. I have this theory that even if right now, I don't seem to get as much as I could out of Mass. Because I am too busy correcting Ben or bringing Jonna out for a spanking and time out... if I continue to bring them and let them know this is part of life. It will get better. They will realize that for one hour its okay to sit still, be reverant, and give God thanks. It worked for my Mom and Dad, and heck they had a lot more kids to have to make sit still than me ;) Although Jonna is a bear through most of Church, my favorite moments of her are when she walks in and dips her hand in the holy water and makes the sign of the cross. She ALWAYS genuflects when she comes to the pew to sit. She sings/hums/ lalala's the songs along with her Mama. And she shakes hands at the time giving each other the sign of peace. So, my theory is working....right?!

Benjamin would prefer to not go to school and rather practice being a super hero all day. He would prefer to be sprayed with a hose, swim in the ocean, ride his bike, and pretend to take over bad guys. But he still loves to have Mom and Dad read him books. He will still twirl my hair in his fingers as long as I let him. He is starting to prefer more and more to hang out with Dad because well...Dad is kind of cooler than the demanding Mom. He started two days ago wanting to wear the cologne that Dad wears. He still wants more than anything to have a motorcycle or four wheeler. The faster the machine goes the better.

My kids are my absolute joys, but We do not know whether there will be another sibling yet. I know they are always going to have lots of baby neices and nephews. Little baby Ian who will be one in July gets tons of attention from Jonna and Benjamin. They are always finding things at home that they are too big for and need to go to baby Ian. I have been coaching Crossfit now for two months, and I love every spankin moment of it. God has given me lots of guidance this year, and he never ceases to amaze me on how he works. All is well in the Holee Realm!

Crossfit Kids and Show me your Heart!

Benjamin is starting Crossfit Kids this month! I swore I would wait to enroll him in anything until he was in kindergarten, but since I am already at the Gym coaching classes, he is gonna just stick around with me to do the Kids program. He is super excited. Jonna and Ben are there quite a bit, and if you asked them they would rather be there than at home. I mean who has a jungle gym (pullup rig), rings, and jumpropes just hanging around inside? Half the time after a class, they make up their own WODs(Workout of the day) and run around. Ben is very close to a pull up and he is very proud of how far he makes it up. I am also impressed with Jonna. She is quite a klutz when it comes to walking and running around. She is always running into things, but you should see her swinging skills on the pull up bar. She is quite graceful. I may have gymanst on my hands. Jonna is at a trying age, and will turn 3 in July. Well, she still thinks she is the boss of everyone and prefers to test her mother and her father in whatever way she can. I am trying out a new technique because the child is also such a people pleaser. I explained to her two nights ago, what it meant to have a big heart. And what it means to show people your heart. I explained it is being kind, sharing, listening, and helping others including her Mom and Dad. So, if she isn't sharing I say, Jonna, "can you show me your heart and how big it is?" She proceeds with "YA!" and will give whatever she has to who she is supposed to be sharing with. I praise her in return of how big her heart is! And she glows! Or if I will ask her to do something, and she doesn't listen right away, I get her attention and ask her to be a big girl and show me her heart...she proceeds to do it. WE are going on the third day of this and I am pretty happy to post that it seems to be helping quite a bit! All is well in the Holee Realm!

Easter 2012

Easter. We had it at both sides of the family. Saturday was Kusick filled. Sunday went to church with Holee side, visited with Kusick side, and then ended with Holee side. Jake was off on Easter Sunday!
